REPORT FROM BUREAU OF TRAFFIC AND LIGHTING RE: PARKING METER SIGNS The Bureau of Traffic and Lighting reported to the Board that they had reviewed the complaint of.Jane Swan regarding the parking meter just west of Lafayette on Washington Street. They indicate that the signs in the block are correct and suggested that the Parking Meter Department be asked to check the meter heads to see that they comply with the signs, Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the report was filed and the Clerk was directed to send a memo to the Parking Meter Department asking them to check the meter. REQUEST FOR STREET SERVICES RECEIVED The Board received a request from Missionary Dora Lottie to hold Street Services on Napier and Chapin during the month of June on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request was referred to Deputy City Attorney Kathleen Cekanski and the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for review and recommendation. REQUEST TO TOW ADVERTISING BANNERS APPROVED The Board received a request from Ronald Ellis, Ellis Aerial Ads, to tow advertising banners over South Bend for a period of one Q0 year, beginning April 29, 1975, under the same conditions as last year. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request with the stipulation that Mr. Ellis clear each ad i4 with Mr. Farrand prior to its display. REQUEST TO TRANSFER TAXI LICENSE The Board received a request to transfer Taxi License No. 9 from George D. Fultman to Charles Herbert. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request was referred to the Bureau of Police for a background check.and recommendation. RELEASE OF BOND APPROVED - MUMFORD CONSTRUCTION COMPANY A request was received from the Bonding Company to release the Contractor's Bond for Ray Mumford, d/b/a Mumford Construction Co. Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board that there are no outstanding permits for this company and the bond can be released. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Bond was released effective April 28, 1975. RIVER BEND PLAZA APPLICATIONS The Board received River Bend Plaza Applications and took the following action concerning them., 1. Michiana Crusade - Display Booth Only on May 3rd through loth. The application was favorably recommended by Louis Wilcox, Director. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the application was approved. 2. Sonneborn's Sport Shop - Non-food Merchanidse on May 28 and 29 in connection with the Boat Show. The application was favorably recommended by Louis Wilcox, Director. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the application was approved. 3. Studebaker's Drivers Club. Display Booth Only on May 4th, with vehicles to be parked on the Supergraphics area. The application was favorably recommended by Louis Wilcox, Director. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the application was approved. 4. Shirley Fulton - Kite Flying Contest on May 3rd from 1 to 5 p.m. The application was favorably recommended by Louis Wilcox, Director, Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the application was approved.
