REPORT FROM BUREAU OF TRAFFIC AND LIGHTING RE: PARKING METER SIGNS <br />The Bureau of Traffic and Lighting reported to the Board that they <br />had reviewed the complaint of.Jane Swan regarding the parking <br />meter just west of Lafayette on Washington Street. They indicate <br />that the signs in the block are correct and suggested that the <br />Parking Meter Department be asked to check the meter heads to see <br />that they comply with the signs, Upon motion made, seconded and <br />carried, the report was filed and the Clerk was directed to send <br />a memo to the Parking Meter Department asking them to check the meter. <br />REQUEST FOR STREET SERVICES RECEIVED <br />The Board received a request from Missionary Dora Lottie to hold <br />Street Services on Napier and Chapin during the month of June <br />on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, the request was referred to Deputy <br />City Attorney Kathleen Cekanski and the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting for review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST TO TOW ADVERTISING BANNERS APPROVED <br />The Board received a request from Ronald Ellis, Ellis Aerial Ads, <br />to tow advertising banners over South Bend for a period of one <br />Q0 year, beginning April 29, 1975, under the same conditions as last <br />year. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved <br />the request with the stipulation that Mr. Ellis clear each ad <br />i4 with Mr. Farrand prior to its display. <br />REQUEST TO TRANSFER TAXI LICENSE <br />The Board received a request to transfer Taxi License No. 9 from <br />George D. Fultman to Charles Herbert. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, the request was referred to the Bureau of Police for <br />a background check.and recommendation. <br />RELEASE OF BOND APPROVED - MUMFORD CONSTRUCTION COMPANY <br />A request was received from the Bonding Company to release the <br />Contractor's Bond for Ray Mumford, d/b/a Mumford Construction Co. <br />Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board that <br />there are no outstanding permits for this company and the bond can <br />be released. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Bond was <br />released effective April 28, 1975. <br />RIVER BEND PLAZA APPLICATIONS <br />The Board received River Bend Plaza Applications and took the <br />following action concerning them., <br />1. Michiana Crusade - Display Booth Only on May 3rd through loth. <br />The application was favorably recommended by Louis Wilcox, Director. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the application was <br />approved. <br />2. Sonneborn's Sport Shop - Non-food Merchanidse on May 28 and 29 <br />in connection with the Boat Show. The application was favorably <br />recommended by Louis Wilcox, Director. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, the application was approved. <br />3. Studebaker's Drivers Club. Display Booth Only on May 4th, with <br />vehicles to be parked on the Supergraphics area. The application <br />was favorably recommended by Louis Wilcox, Director. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, the application was approved. <br />4. Shirley Fulton - Kite Flying Contest on May 3rd from 1 to 5 p.m. <br />The application was favorably recommended by Louis Wilcox, Director, <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the application was approved. <br />
