6' <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 21, 1975 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:30 a.m, on Monday, April 21, 1975 with all members present. <br />Deputy City Attorney Kathleen Cekanski was also present. Minutes <br />of the <br />.previous meeting were reviewed and approved. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - BUREAU OF STREETS TRUCKS <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for eight trucks for the <br />Bureau of Streets. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of <br />notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were <br />found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly <br />read: <br />SHA14ROCK FORD Bid was signed by B. S. Irwin, non - <br />collusion affidavit was in order and <br />a 10% bid bond accompanied the bid. <br />Four - 1975 Chevrolet 3/4 Ton Pick -Up Trucks <br />Net Bid, less trade-in $15,596.10 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bids were referred to <br />Donald Decker, Director, Division of Transportation, for review <br />and recommendation. <br />PUBLIC HEAPING - ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR VACATION RESOLUTION NO. <br />3411, 1975 - ALLEY BETWEEN TAYLOR AND WILLIAMS <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the Assessment Poll <br />for Vacation Resolution No. 3411, 1975, for the vacation of the <br />north -south alley between Taylor Street and William Street, running <br />north from Monroe Street to the first east -west alley as found on <br />the Recorded Plat of William E. Vail's Southwest Addition to the <br />Town, now City of South Bend. The Clerk tendered proofs of <br />publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County <br />News which were found to be sufficient. No remonstrators having <br />appeared and no written remonstrances having been filed, upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, the Assessment Roll showing <br />no net damages and no net benefits was approved as adopted and said <br />Resolution is in all things ratified and confirmed and said <br />proceedings closed. <br />PUBLIC HEARING - ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR VACATION RESOLUTION NO. <br />3412, 1975 - ALLEY BETWEEN PHILLIPA AND CARLISLE <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the Assessment Roll <br />for Vacation Resolution No. 3412, 1975, for the vacation of the <br />north -south alley between Phillipa Street and Carlisle Street, from <br />Dunham Street south to the first alley south of Dunham Street, City <br />1 <br />1 <br />
