91 <br />REGULAR MEETING APRIL 14, 1975 <br />REQUEST TO CHECK FOR VIOLATIONS' <br />A request was received to check the following locations for possible <br />violations. The Sheraton Motor Inn, 423 N. Michigan Street is <br />displaying a portable sign with a lighted arrow on the right-of-way <br />in front of their Inn. A portable news vending stand has been <br />placed on the sidewalk in front of Azar's Restaurant on River Bend <br />Plaza. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the locations were <br />referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting for review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST TO USE FIRE STATIONS FOR VOTING PURPOSES APPROVED <br />A request from W.-Joseph Doran, St. Joseph County Clerk, to use <br />Fire Stations 2, 3, 5, 6,7, 9 and 10 for voting purposes on Primary <br />Election Day May 6, 1975 was received. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, the request was approved. <br />APPOINTMENT OF APPRAISERS FOR CITY -OWNED PROPERTY <br />A resolution authorizing the sale of city -owned property located at <br />t� 1711 Longley Avenue and 217 East Ohio Street was adopted by the Board <br />on February 17, 1975 and submitted to the Common Council. Thirty <br />days has elapsed since the resolution was sent to the Council and <br />they have not asked that any of the parcels be retained: Upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, the Board directed that two appraisers <br />be appointed. <br />REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR SNORKEL REPAIR APPROVED <br />The Board received a request from Chief Jack R. Bland that the Board <br />advertise for bids for the repair of the snorkel damaged in a <br />recent accident. Bids are to be sought'on four options. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request and directed <br />that the Clerk advertise for bids on April 18 and 25 with bids to be <br />received on April 28, 1975. <br />RECOMMENDATION TO CHANGE PLANS FOR CURBSIDE DEPOSITORY APPROVED <br />1 <br />The Board received a recommendation from the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting that the requested change in'the plans of the Tower Federal <br />Savings and Loan Association for a curbside depository on West <br />Washington Street had been reviewed and approval was recommended. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the change in plans for the <br />curbside depository on Washington Street in front of the Tower Building <br />was approved. <br />SIGNING OF TITLE SHEET - KENSINGTON FARMS SECTION 4. PARK 2A <br />The Title Sheet approving plans for Kensington Farms Section 4, Part 2A <br />was submitted to the Board. David Wells explained that this area is <br />going to be developed and the title sheet covered street plans for <br />York Road. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the title sheet <br />approving the plans was approved. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period of April 1 through 7 was <br />received and ordered filed. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried the <br />ATTE T: <br />IJC:�c. <br />CLERK <br />
