259 <br />REGULAR PTEE T ING <br />FEBRUARY 17, 1975 <br />REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS - OLIVE STREET SEWER RECONSTRUCTION <br />Resolution No. 10, 1974 adopted by the Board of Public Works on <br />May 28, 1974, provided for preliminary plans and design for the <br />reconstruction of the Olive Street Sewer from Delaware Street to <br />Indiana Avenue. The Bureau of Design and Administration submitted <br />a request to the Board that bids be advertised for the project <br />on February 21 and 28 with bids to be received on March 3, 1975. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the <br />request and the Clerk was directed to advertise for bids. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon <br />motion made, seconded and.carried, the meeting adjourned at <br />10:28 a.m. <br />The meeting reconvened at 10:35 a.m. <br />Mr. Farran.d announced that the second appraisal on the property <br />at 1210 Thomas .Street, No. 4 Fire Station, had just been received <br />and he asked the Board to take action on the following resolution: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6. 1975 ADOPTED. ORDERING SALE OF CITY OWNED PROPERTY <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6. 1975 <br />A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING VALUE FOR A CERTAIN <br />PARCEL OF REAL ESTATE OWNED BY THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND ORDERING SALE THEREOF <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend has <br />caused a certain parcel of real estate not necessary to the public <br />use to be appraised by two licenses independent appraisers who are <br />freeholders in the City of South'Bend, Indiana, and <br />WHEREAS, the Board has received such appraisals and now, pursuant <br />to Chapter 30A of the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana, desires to establish the valuation of said parcel for the <br />purpose of sale; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board now wishes to order said parcel offered for <br />sale and provide for the giving of notice thereof, pursuant to <br />Chapter 30 A of the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the <br />City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />1. That the Board now establishes valuation for the hereinafter <br />described parcel of real estate for the purpose of offering the sale <br />of the same as follows: <br />Description Valuation <br />Lot Number Forty-eight (48) $7,560.00 <br />in the Commissioner's Subdivision <br />of Bank Out Lots numbered Eighty-five <br />(85) and Eighty-six (86) of the <br />second plat of "Out Lots of the Town, <br />now the City of South Bend, platted by <br />the State Bank of Indiana", and more <br />commonly known as Fire Station No. 4 <br />1210 Thomas Street. <br />2. The Board shall prepare an offering sheet for said parcel <br />pursuant to ordinance and copies of the offering sheet shall be <br />on file at the Board of Public Works and shall be made available <br />to the public upon request. <br />1 <br />
