REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 27, 1975 <br />recommended the petition favorably to the Board. Upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried, the Board filed the recommendation and referred <br />the petition to the Bureau of Engineering for preparation of the <br />Vacation Resolution. <br />AREA PLAN RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE THE EAST -WEST ALLEY <br />BETWEEN 14ARION AND 14ADISON STREETS <br />The Board received a report from the Area Plan Commission that a <br />public hearing was held on January 21, 1975 on the petition of the <br />Robert and Clara I. Milton Home for the vacation of the east -west <br />alley between Marion Street and Madison Street running east from <br />the first north -south alley east of Michigan Street to the vacated <br />St. Joseph Street, City of South Bend. The Area Plan Commission <br />recommended the petition favorably to the Board. Upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried, the Board filed the recommendation and referred <br />the petition to the Bureau of Engineering for preparation of the <br />Vacat i-on__Reso likt ion. <br />AREA PLAN RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE THE NORTH -SOUTH ALLEY <br />BETWEEN TAYLOR AND WILLIAM STREETS <br />all The Board received a report from the Area Plan Commission that a <br />public hearing was held on January 21, 1975 on .the petition of the <br />Gates Realty Company to vacate the north -south alley between Taylor <br />Street and William Street running north from Monroe Street to the <br />first east -west alley as found on the Recorded Plat:of William,E. <br />Vail's Southwest Addition to the Town, now -City. -of South Bend.' <br />The Area Plan Commission recommended the petition favorably to the <br />Board. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board filed <br />the.recommendation and referred the petition to the Bureau of <br />Engineering for preparation.of the Vacation Resolution. <br />PARKING RESTRICTIONS APPROVED, NEW #4 FIRE STATION <br />The Bureau of Traffic and Lighting recommended to the Board that <br />parking restructions be adopted in the 200 block of North Olive Street <br />and on Linden Avenue near the new #4 Fire Station. Recommended <br />were: No Parking on the east side of Olive, from Linden to Orange <br />No=_ Parking on the west side of Olive, from Lawton to Orange <br />No Parking on the north side of Linden from Olive Street 100 <br />feet to the east. <br />No Parking on the south side of Linden from Olive to the former <br />Carlisle.Streets. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the parking restrictions were <br />approved. <br />TRANSFER OF TAXI CAB LICENSES APPROVED <br />The Board received a favorable recommendation from Chief John H. Walsh, <br />Bureau of Police, on the following requests for taxi cab license. <br />transfers: <br />To Larry B. Williams from C. B. West <br />To Ivan Brockway from George Meister <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the transfers were approved. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period of January 16 through <br />22 was received and ordered filed. <br />
