REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 27, 1975 recommended the petition favorably to the Board. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board filed the recommendation and referred the petition to the Bureau of Engineering for preparation of the Vacation Resolution. AREA PLAN RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE THE EAST -WEST ALLEY BETWEEN 14ARION AND 14ADISON STREETS The Board received a report from the Area Plan Commission that a public hearing was held on January 21, 1975 on the petition of the Robert and Clara I. Milton Home for the vacation of the east -west alley between Marion Street and Madison Street running east from the first north -south alley east of Michigan Street to the vacated St. Joseph Street, City of South Bend. The Area Plan Commission recommended the petition favorably to the Board. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board filed the recommendation and referred the petition to the Bureau of Engineering for preparation of the Vacat i-on__Reso likt ion. AREA PLAN RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE THE NORTH -SOUTH ALLEY BETWEEN TAYLOR AND WILLIAM STREETS all The Board received a report from the Area Plan Commission that a public hearing was held on January 21, 1975 on .the petition of the Gates Realty Company to vacate the north -south alley between Taylor Street and William Street running north from Monroe Street to the first east -west alley as found on the Recorded Plat:of William,E. Vail's Southwest Addition to the Town, now -City. -of South Bend.' The Area Plan Commission recommended the petition favorably to the Board. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board filed the.recommendation and referred the petition to the Bureau of Engineering for preparation.of the Vacation Resolution. PARKING RESTRICTIONS APPROVED, NEW #4 FIRE STATION The Bureau of Traffic and Lighting recommended to the Board that parking restructions be adopted in the 200 block of North Olive Street and on Linden Avenue near the new #4 Fire Station. Recommended were: No Parking on the east side of Olive, from Linden to Orange No=_ Parking on the west side of Olive, from Lawton to Orange No Parking on the north side of Linden from Olive Street 100 feet to the east. No Parking on the south side of Linden from Olive to the former Carlisle.Streets. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the parking restrictions were approved. TRANSFER OF TAXI CAB LICENSES APPROVED The Board received a favorable recommendation from Chief John H. Walsh, Bureau of Police, on the following requests for taxi cab license. transfers: To Larry B. Williams from C. B. West To Ivan Brockway from George Meister Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the transfers were approved. STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED The Street Light Outage Report for the period of January 16 through 22 was received and ordered filed.
