243 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 18, 1974 <br />1 <br />C <br />CQ <br />W <br />W <br />1 <br />1 <br />Assessment Roll for Portage Gardens, with the execption of the <br />property owned by the First Community Development Corporation <br />and that this matter be referred to the City Attorney for review <br />and a recommendation. <br />Mr. Barcome left the meeting at 10:00 a.m, to attend the ,funeral <br />of South Bend Police Officer Thomas DeRue. <br />PAYMENT REQUEST APPROVED - CONSTRU TION OF FIRE STATION 4 <br />Ed Bauer, Building Department, submitted to the Board a payment <br />request for Muia Construction Company for work done on the <br />construction of Fire Station #4 from October 8 to November 8. The <br />payment request was in the amount of $34,587.90. Mr. Bauer also <br />presented a progress report on construction. Upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried, the Board approved the payment request and <br />filed the progress report. <br />JEWELWOOD ADDITION - PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT, MAINTENANCE <br />BOND AND PRIVATE SEWER CONTRACT <br />A Project Completion Affidavit, Maintenance Bond and Private <br />Sewer Contract submitted by Place and Company for Jewelwood Addition <br />were presented to the Board. David A. Wells, Manager of the Bureau <br />of Design and Administration, noted that also included was a cost <br />justification sheet and two .sheets of plans. He recommended that <br />the Project Completion Affidavit be approved and the other documents <br />filed. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved <br />the Project Completion Affidavit for Jewelwood Addition and filed <br />the Maintenance Bond, Private Sewer Contract, Cost Justification <br />and plans. <br />REQUEST TO SELL ROSE BOWL PROGPJUIS <br />The Board received a request from John Sherburn, Executive of the <br />Big Brothers/Big Sisters to sell Rose Bowl Programs from December <br />4 through December 14. They have received a permit from the <br />Charitable Solications Commission. The request did not stipulate <br />what locations would be used in selling the program. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, the request was tabled and the Clerk was <br />directed to contact Mr. Sherburn and ask for the locations. . <br />REQUEST FOR RIDE -A -BIKE PROJECT RECEIVED <br />The Board received a request from Wanda Thorn, on behalf of the <br />Council for the Retarded, to hold a Ride -A -Bike Project on Sunday, <br />April 27, 1975. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request <br />was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for review and <br />recommendation. <br />CHANGE ORDER - TOPICS PROJECT T6000(7) <br />The Board received a Change Order in the Topics Project T6000(7), <br />the McKinley, Hickory, Logan Intersection. The Change order decreased <br />the contract by $538.25 and was to make adjustments to reflect as - <br />built plans. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Change Order <br />was approved. <br />EXTRA WORK AGREEMENT APPROVED - TOPICS PROJECT T6000(7) <br />The Board received an Extra Work Agreement for Topics Project T6000(7) <br />the McKinley, Hickory, Logan Intersection for submission to the Indiana <br />State Highway Commission. The agreement was a reduction to compensate <br />for a lesser value of materials to conform to specifications. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, the Extra Work Agreement was approved. <br />
