14 <br />REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 12, 1974 <br />FILING OF FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL`' -'OAK PARK SANITARY SEWERS <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3400, 1974 <br />Rollin E. Farrand, City Engineer, filed with the Board the final <br />Assessment Roll for the construction of the Oak Park Sanitary Sewers <br />authorized under Improvement Resolution No. 3400, 1974, adopted by <br />the Board on April 1, 1974. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />the Board ordered the Assessment Roll filed and set Monday, August 26, 1974 <br />at 9:30 a.m. as the time and the Board of Public Works Hearing Room <br />as the place for a public hearing on the Assessment Roll. <br />AGREEMENT - CLYDE WILLIAMS AND ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR CERTAIN <br />WILLIAMS STREET INTERSECTIONS AND PORTAGE AVENUE INTERSECTIONS <br />The Board received an Agreement with Clyde Williams and Associates <br />for engineering services for the following projects: <br />Project #1 The Channelization, Rehabilitation, Signalization, <br />Signing and Traffic Improvement to the intersection <br />of Williams Street with Wayne Street, Western, and <br />Monroe. <br />Project #2 The Signalization and Channelization of the intersection <br />of Portage, Woodlawn, Hamilton and Wilbur. <br />Mr. Farrand explained that this agreement has been revised by the <br />Department of Public Works and the Legal Department. Upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried, the Board approved the agreement, subject to <br />final approval by the Legal Department and approval of the funds by <br />the Common Council. <br />RESOLUTION FOR SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY ADOPTED <br />James A. Roemer, City Attorney, transmitted to the Board a proposed <br />resolution establishing value for parcels of city -owned real estate <br />and ordering sale of the parcels. Mr. Roemer recommended that the <br />Board adopt the resolution. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />the following resolution was adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 16, 1974 <br />A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING VALUE FOR CERTAIN <br />PARCELS OF REAL ESTATE OWNED BY THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND ORDERING SALE THEREOF <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend has <br />caused certain parcels of real estate not necessary to the public use <br />to be appraised by two licensed independent appraisers who are free- <br />holders in the City of South Bend, Indiana; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board has received such appraisals and now, pursuant to <br />Chapter 30 A of the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend,Indiana, <br />desires to establish the valuation of said parcels for the purpose <br />of sale; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board now wishes to order said parcels offered for sale <br />and provide for the giving of notice thereof, pursuant to Chapter <br />30A of the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend, <br />WHEREAS, property located at 1611 South William Street and 1230 West <br />Colfax Avenue was heretofore offered for sale and no bid was received <br />equal to the offering price and now, therefore, the Board has <br />determined to advertise said properties again. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the <br />City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />1. That the Board now establishes valuation for the hereinafter <br />described parcels of real estate for the purpose of offering the <br />sale of the same as follows: <br />
