REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 19, 1974 <br />G. R. Nunemaker <br />Bid - $20,611.00 <br />Carl J. Reinke & Sons <br />Bid - $32,884.00 <br />Bid was signed by G. R. Nunemaker <br />non -collusion affidavit was in <br />order and a certified check in <br />the amount of $1030.55 accompanied <br />the bid. <br />Bid was signed by Harold Reinke <br />non -collusion affidavit was in <br />order and a certified check in <br />the amount of $2000 accompanied <br />the bid. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bids were referred to <br />the Division of Engineering for review and recommendation. <br />CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT AND PERFORMANCE BOND - PAVING OF ALLEY <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3381, 1973 <br />A Construction Contract with McIntyre and Jones for the paving of <br />the alley between Berkley and Inglewood, from Oakwood to Lathrop, <br />authorized under Improvement Resolution No. 3381, 1973 was submitted <br />to the Board. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the contract <br />was approved. The Performance Bond for the Contract was also <br />presented to the Board. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the <br />Performance Bond was approved. <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SALE OF FIRE DEPARTMENT TRACTOR <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the following resolution <br />was adopted by the Board: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13, 1974 <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Public Works of the <br />City of South Bend, Indiana and the Fire Chief of the City of South <br />Bend, Indiana, that a certain fire fighting vehicle unit is no <br />longer needed and is unfit for the purpose for which it was intended, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 186, Acts of 1967, of the Indiana General Assembly <br />permits the sale of personal property no longer needed or obsolete, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of <br />the City of South Bend that the following described vehicle is no <br />longer needed and is unfit for the purpose for which it was intended: <br />One 1953 Seagrave, Model 5007, 12 Cylinder Open Cab and Chassis <br />BE IT, FURTHER, RESOLVED that said equipment be sold at private <br />sale to Super Auto Salvage, 3300 South Main Street at a price of <br />$350.00. <br />Adopted this 19th day of June, 1974. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />s/ James V.
