REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 6, 1974 <br />1 <br />1 <br />and Lombardy Drive. Mr. Farrand;,explained that this sewer has been <br />installed and inspected and 'is acceptable to the City. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the Project Completion <br />Affidavit. <br />The Maintenance Bond for the sewer project was presented to the Board. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Maintenance Bond was <br />approved. The Maintenance Bond is effective until April 29, 1974. <br />COMPLAINT - J. W. ADAMSON <br />Mr. J. W. Adamson was present and complained to the Board that he <br />had filed a dog complaint with the Legal Department and had not yet <br />received notice from them that any action had been taken on his <br />complaint. Mr. Roemer explained the procedure .to the Board. He said <br />the Legal Department sends a letter when a complaint is filed in an <br />attempt to get information from both parties concerned. He said a <br />letter in regard to Mr. Adamson's complaint had been mailed last <br />Friday and Mr. Adamson should receive his copy. Mr. Roemer said the <br />complaint was received last Monday and he felt the Legal Department <br />had acted within a reasonable amount of time on the matter. Mr. <br />Adamson thanked the Board for the information. <br />REQUEST FOR USE OF MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM <br />Mrs. Sandy Greenhut was present representing the Festival 174 <br />celebration on River Bend Plaza. Mrs. Greenhut requested permission <br />from the Board to use the Morris Civic Auditorium for a program on <br />Thursday, July 4, 1974, with the rental fee to be waived. Mrs. <br />Greenhut said an ethnic dance program will be presented and there will <br />be no admission charged. Mrs. Greenhut also requested that the <br />Board approve the closing of Washington Street and Jefferson Street, <br />from St. Joseph Street to Main Street, on July 4 from 12:OO noon until <br />8:00 p.m. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board referred <br />the request to waive the fee for use of the Morris Civic Auditorium <br />on July 4 to Floyd Jessup, Manager, for review and recommendation, <br />advising him that the Board would like all possible consideration to <br />be given to the request, since the Board is cooperating fully in <br />plans for Festival 174. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request to close Washington <br />and Jefferson Streets was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />the Department of Redevelopment and the River Bend Plaza Director <br />for review and recommendation. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned at 10:15 a.m. <br />ATTEST: <br />CLERK <br />
