41 <br />REGULAR MEETING MARCH 4, 1974 <br />APPROVAL FOR CHET WAGGONER LITTLE LEAGUE PARADE <br />The Board received a report from Clem A. Hazinski, Manager of the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting, that he had reviewed the request of the Chet Waggoner <br />Little League to hold a parade on Sunday, May 26, 1974. Mr. Hazinski.said <br />he has met with Captain Sweitzer of the Police Department Traffic Detail <br />and approval is recommended. Indemnity insurance is to be filed with the <br />Board which would hold the City harmless in the event of any accident. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the parade request. <br />EXCAVATION BOND FOR LOUIS M. SEAGO RELEASED <br />A request was received from the Forbes -Varner Insurance Agency that the <br />Excavation Bond on file for Louis M. Seago d/b/a Seago's Plumbing & Heating <br />Company be released. Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, advised the <br />Board that the bond could be released effective March 4, 1974. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried., the Board released the Excavation Bond for <br />Louis M. Seago, d/b/a Seago's Plumbing & Heating Company for all work done <br />on or after March 4, 1974. <br />REPORT ON HEAD START MOBILE CLASSROOM <br />The Board received a report from Forrest West on his investigation of the <br />site at 1901 Kemble Avenue, approved _by.the Board last year. Mr. West reported <br />that water and sewers are available. In regard to the helicopter landings <br />called to the Board's attention last week by Mrs. Eash, Mr. West said they <br />have now stopped. The Board ordered the report filed and directed that a <br />copy of it be sent to Mrs. Eash. <br />REPORT ON WALKATHONS <br />The Board received a report.from Clem A. Hazinski, Manager of the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting that routes have been submitted and approved for the March <br />of Dimes Walkathon on Saturday, April 6, 1974, the Council for the Retarded <br />Bike-aThom on April 28, 1974 and the Youth Coalition Walkathon on May 4, 1974. Mr. <br />Hazinski recommended that the groups be asked to contact Captain Sweitzer of the <br />Police Department Traffic Detail and Donald Germann of Civil Defense to <br />coordinate traffic control. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, Mr. Hazinski's <br />report was approved and the groups are to be notified to contact Captain Sweitzer <br />and Mr. Germann. <br />APPROVAL OF NO PARKING SIGNS <br />The Board received a recommendation from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />that "No Parking" signs be installed on the West Side of the 600 block of <br />Lincolnway East, between Monroe and South Streets. Mr. Hazinski noted that <br />this would permit a merging of outbound vehicles on Monroe Street and would <br />provide smoother traffic flow. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the installation of No Parking signs <br />on the West Side of the 600 block of Lincolnway East was approved. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />The Street Light Outage report for the period of February 15, 1974 to <br />February 28, 1974 was received. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the report was ordered filed. <br />
