REGULAR MEETING

<br />FILING OF DEDICATION OF ALLEY BETWEEN CARROLL AND COLUMBIA STREETS
<br />Curtis Products, Inc. files with the Board a Dedication of a fourteen -foot
<br />alley, running east and west between Carroll and Columbia Streets and
<br />being the south side of Lot C and Lot K of the survey of lots A, B, C, D,
<br />H, I and K of A. R. Sample's Subdivision of Lots 26, 27 and 28, Denniston's
<br />and Fellows Addition. The Dedication was referred to the Area Plan Commission
<br />for their review and recommendation.
<br />ADOPTION OF VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3395, 1974
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the following Resolution was adopted:
<br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3395, 1974
<br />RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, That
<br />it is desirable to vacate the following:
<br />The north -south alley between Carroll and Columbia Streets from
<br />O Bronson Street south One Hundred Thirty-nine (139) feet, City
<br />CT�
<br />Reserving the rights and easements of all Utilities and the Municipal City of
<br />South Bend, Indiana, to construct and maintain any facilities, including, but
<br />W not limited to the following: electric, telephone, gas, water, sewer, surface
<br />water control structures and ditches, within the vacated right of way, unless
<br />such rights are released by the individual utilities.
<br />The following property may be injuriously or beneficially affected by such
<br />vacation:
<br />Lots A, B, C, D, E. H, I, K, L, M of Sample's Sub of Lots 26, 27
<br />and 282 Denniston & Fellows Addition.
<br />Notice of this Resolution shall be published on the 1st and 8th day of March,
<br />1974 in the South Bend Tribune and in the Tri-County News.
<br />This Board, at its office on the,25th day of March, 1974, at 9:30 o'clock, A.M.,
<br />will hear and receive all remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected
<br />by these proceedings.

<br />TRAFFIC SIGNAL MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT
<br />The Board received
<br />a traffic signal maintenance agreement between
<br />the City of
<br />South Bend and the
<br />Indiana State Highway Department. Mr. Farrand
<br />explained that
<br />this is a standard
<br />agreement and lists the signals the City will
<br />maintain and
<br />updates the prices.
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the
<br />Board signed
<br />the Agreement.
<br />RECOMMENDATION FROM
<br />BUREAU OF ENGINEERING RE: PETITION TO VACATE
<br />A PART OF
<br />CHIPPEWA AVENUE
<br />The Board received a recommendation from the Bureau of Design and Administration
<br />that they have reviewed the petition to vacate a portion of Chippewa Avenue,
<br />filed by the First Community Development Corporation, and have no objections to
<br />the proposed vacation. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the petition
<br />was referred to the Area Plan Commission for their review and recommendation.
