REGULAR 14EETING <br />AUGUST''16, 1976 <br />REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS APPROVED HOISTS <br />Rollin E. Farrand submitted to the Board a request for permission <br />to prepare specifications and advertise for bids for three hoists <br />for the Bureau of Vehicle Maintenance at the Municipal Services <br />Facility. Mr. Farrand advised the Board that he proposes to file <br />an appropriation ordinance with the Common Council requesting <br />$5,600 in revenue sharing funds for this purchase. Upon motion made <br />by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the request was <br />approved and bids will be advertised on August 27 and September 3, <br />with sealed bids to be received on September 13. <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE APPROVED <br />Ralph S. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />recommended that the Board approve .the installation of a one -hour <br />parking zone, from 6:00 a.m, to 6:00 p.m., on the east side of <br />20th Street, from Mishawaka Avenue to the first alley south.' Upon <br />motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the <br />installation was approved. <br />RESOLUTION NO.'26 ADOPTED <br />The following resolution, concerning the sale of city -owned property, <br />was submitted to the ,Board. Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, <br />seconded by ter. Mullen and carried, the resolution was adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 26 1976 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend has <br />compiled a current detailed inventory of all real property owned <br />by the City of South Bend, Indiana, pursuant to Section 30 A-1 <br />of the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has reviewed said inventory of <br />real property and it now finds that certain of the parcels of real <br />estate now owned by the City are not necessary to the public use <br />and are not set aside by state or city law for public purposes <br />pursuant to Section 30 A-2 of the Municipal Code of the City of <br />South Bend; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works now wishes to take the necessary <br />action to make it possible for the Board in the future to sell said <br />parcels of real estate pursuant to Chapter 30 A of the Municipal Code <br />of the City of South Bend. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the <br />City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />1.
