REGULAR 14EETING AUGUST 2, 1976 <br />3. Change of Date in Style Show to be sponsored by the <br />Y.W.C.A. Approval was given for July 27 and they now <br />wish the date changed to August 10. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the applications were approved. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street -Light Outage Report for the period of July 25 through <br />30 was received. The report indicated 34 outages. Upon motion <br />made by Mr. Farrand, seconded -by Mr. Brunner and carried, the <br />report was ordered filed. <br />PETITION RE: HOUSE AT 4625 FELLOWS <br />Mr. Farrand noted that the Board had received a complaint from <br />Mr. Al Nagy regarding a house moved to 4625 Fellows Street last <br />year and still up on temporary supports. Mr. Farrand said a <br />petition signed by property owners in the area has been received <br />requesting that action be taken. Mr. Farrand reported that he <br />has written to James Locker, owner of the house, expressing the <br />Board's concern regarding the temporary location of the house, <br />since it does constitute a hazard. Mr. Locker.was asked to <br />advise the Board immediately of his intention to locate the house <br />permanently. Mr. Farrand recommended that the Board take the <br />matter under advisement until a response is received from Mr. Locker. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, <br />the petition and letter were ordered filed and the matter will be <br />taken under advisement until,a reply is received from Mr. Locker. <br />BID ADVERTISING APPROVED - CURB RECONSTRUCTION, MONROE FROM KALEY TO MEADE <br />Mr. Farrand reported that plans have been prepared for curb recon <br />struction on Monroe Street, from Kaley Street to Meade Street, one <br />block south of Western Avenue. The project involves about 2000 <br />feet of curb at an approximate cost of $10,000. Community Development <br />funds will be.used for the project. Mr. Brunner asked if this action <br />is pursuant.to a curb reconstruction program around the City. Mr. <br />Farrand said this is part of the planned program which had to be <br />scaled down because of .the limited amount of money available. He <br />said this area is badly in need of curb reconstruction. Mr. Farrand <br />made a motion that the Board approve advertising for bids for the <br />curb project.
