REGULAR MEETING JULY 19, 1976 <br />RIVER BEND PLAZA ACTIVITIES APPROVED <br />The Board received a request from'Ronald'Bock, Director of River <br />Bend Plaza, to approve the following activities on the Plaza: <br />Holiday Rambler Day on the Plaza - July 21 <br />Entertainment and a small Arts and Crafts Show <br />Summer Evening Theatre - July 22 <br />Square Dance Demonstration - July 23 <br />Playground Menagerie - July 27 <br />Summer Evening Theatre- July 29 <br />Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried <br />the events were approved, subject to any licenses or insurance required. <br />WHOLE EARTH BAZAAR JULY 30 AND 31 APPROVED <br />An application from the First Unitarian Church to sponsor a Whole <br />Earth Bazaar on the Plaza on July 30 and 31 was submitted to the Board <br />with the favorable recommendation of Ronald Bock, Director. Upon <br />motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried. <br />the application was approved, subject to the necessary license, <br />health permit and insurance. <br />�., REAL SERVICES HARVEST FESTIVAL APPROVED AUGUST 4 <br />ri An application for Real Services Harvest Festival on August 4 was <br />J submitted to the Board with the favorable recommendation of Ronald <br />Bock, Director, River Bend Plaza. The event is conducted for the <br />"1 community's older adults. Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded <br />by Mr. Mullen and carried, the application was approved, <br />SIDEWALK DAYS APPLICATIONS APPROVED - JULY 23 AND 24 <br />The following applications for Sidewalk Days were submitted to the <br />Board with the favorable recommendation of Ronald Bock, Director <br />of River Bend Plaza. The event is sponsored by the Downtown Merchants <br />and is scheduled for July 23 and 24. Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, <br />seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the applications were approved <br />as listed below, subject to securing the necessary licenses and insurance. <br />Copp's Music Shop, River City Smithery, Milady Shop, Robertsons <br />J. C. Penney, Osco Drugs, St. Joseph Bank, Mar Main Pharmacy and <br />Rasmussen's. <br />STYLE SHOW ON RIVER BEND PLAZA ON JULY 27 APPROVED <br />Ronald Bock, Director of River Bend Plaza, requested that the Board <br />approve a Style Show to be held on the Plaza on July 27 in connection <br />with the YWCA and the CETA program. Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, <br />seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the request was approved. <br />BONDS APPROVED <br />David A. Wells, Manager of the Bureau of Design and Administration, <br />reported that the following bonds had been reviewed and were properly <br />executed and could be approved: <br />Contractor's Bond for Kenneth Story to 7114177 <br />Continuation Certificate for Contractor's Bond for Charles Johnson <br />to 5/16/77 <br />Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, <br />the bonds were approved to the dates listed. <br />
