eel <br />1 <br />REGULAR MEETING MAY 101 1976 <br />CHET WAGGONER LITTLE LEAGUE PARADE APPROVED <br />The Board received a recommendation from Ralph Wadzinski, Manager <br />of the Bureau of Traffic and.Lighting, that the request of the <br />Chet Waggoner Little League to hold a parade on Saturday, May <br />22, 1976 beginning at 8:15 a.m, at the Knights of Columbus parking <br />lot at 815 N. Michigan Street, had been reviewed and approval was <br />recommended. A police escort will be provided. Upon motion made <br />by Mr. Brunner, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the recommendation <br />was approved. <br />DESIGNATION OF PATRICK MC MAHON AS PROJECT ENGINEER FOR PROJECT <br />TM-6000(16) APPROVED <br />Upon motion made by Mr.. Mullen, seconded by Mr. Brunner.and <br />carried, the Board designated that Patrick McMahon be named <br />Project Engineer for Topics Project TM-6000(16), which covers <br />seventeen intersection signalization projects in South Bend which' <br />are being put out for bid. The State requires that this designation <br />of a local Project Engineer be made and notification of the <br />designation of Mr. McMahon as Project Engineer will be forwarded <br />to the Chief Highway Engineer of the Indiana State Highway Commission. <br />R & S 85 APPLICATION TO BE SUBMITTED TO FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION <br />An application to the Federal Highway Administration for Project <br />R & S 85, the Ireland and Fellows, Ireland and Miami and Miami <br />and Scottsdale Mall intersections, and a request to the Chief <br />Highway Engineer of the Indiana State Highway Commission that the <br />project be made a part of the Federal Aid Topics Program and submitted <br />to'the Federal Highway Administration were submitted to the Board <br />by Ralph Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. Mullen, seconded by Mr. Brunner and.carrie.d, <br />the request to the Indiana State Highway Commission was approved <br />and the request and the federal application will be forwarded to <br />the Chief Highway Engineer. <br />UTILITY AGREEMENTS APPROVED <br />Utility agreements between the City of South Bend and Indiana Bell <br />Telephone Company, Indiana & Michigan Electric Company, Northern <br />Indiana Public Service Company and Valley Cablevision were submitted <br />to the Board, Mr. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting, advised the Board that these agreements are in connection <br />with TM-6000(16) intersection signalization projects and were prepared <br />at the request of the Indiana State Highway Commission. The purpose <br />of the agreements is so that the utility companies are cognizant of <br />the proposed project and indicate to the state that there are utility <br />easements within the right-of-way. If utility facilities have to be <br />relocated, it will be done at the utility company's expense. Mr. <br />Wadzinski said this is a standard state contract form. Mr. Brunner <br />made a motion that the Board approve the utility agreements. The <br />motion was seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon <br />motion made by Mr. Mullen, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the <br />meeting adjourned at 10:55 a.m. <br />ATTE <br />Patricia DeClereq, C r- <br />
