REGULAR MEETING APRIL 26, 1976 OPENING OF BIDS - STREET DEPARTMENT TRUCKS AND SPREADERS This was the date set for receiving bids for two tandem axle"traucks and hopper -type spreaders for the Bureau of Streets. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: Gates Chevrolet Conpany Bid was signed by A. G.,Irwin, South Bend, India a non -collusion affidavit was in order and a 10% bid bond was submitted Bid - Two tandem axle trucks with spreaders Net, with trade-in $64,170.00 International Harvester Bid was signed by P. J. Irwin, South Bend, Indiana non -collusion affidavit was in order and a certified check was submitted. Bid - Two tandem axle trucks $59,733.30 Two hopper -type spreaders @ 4,083 8,166.00 Less Trade-ins 9,100.00 Net Bid $58,799.30 Michiana Mack, Inc. Bid was signed by Ronald Delcamp, Mishawaka, Indiana non -collusion affidavit was in order and a 10% bid bond was submitted. Bid - Two tandem axle trucks $69,436.00 with spreaders Less Trade-ins 12,600.00 Net Bid $56,836.00 Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the bids were referred to the Bureau of Streets for review and recommendation. OPENING OF BIDS - CAR WASHES FOR CITY VEHICLES This was the date set for receiving bids for Car Washes for City Vehicles from May 1, 1976 to April 30, 1977. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: Comet Car Wash Bid was signed by Steven Shaw, 1804 Lincolnway West non -collusion affidavit was in South Bend, Indiana order and a certified check was submitted. LaSalle non -collusion affidavit was in South Bend, Indiana order and a certified check was. submitted. Bid - Full Service Car Wash 0-100 units a_mo. $1.75 Full Service Car Wash 1-- or more units a mo. $1.75 Wet Wash Only No Bid Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried the bids were referred .to the Bureau of Vehicle Maintenance for review and recommendation.
