REGULAR MEETING <br />MARCH 22, 1976 <br />46: <br />1 <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period.of March 12 through <br />18 was received. The report indicated 30 outages. Upon motion <br />made by Mr. Farrand, seconded. by Mr. Brunner and carried, the <br />Board ordered the report filed. <br />REQUEST FOR BIKE-A-THON ON OCTOBER 3 RECEIVED <br />The Board received a,request from the American Diabetes Association <br />to hold a Bike-A-Thon on Sunday, October 3, 1976. A proposed route <br />has been submitted to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for review. <br />Upon motion made, seconded -and carried, the Board gave tentative <br />approval of the date, subject to a review of the route by the Bureau <br />of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Detail and <br />to the filing of liability insurance with the Board.. <br />CHANGE ORDERS APPROVED — CENTURY CENTER <br />The Board received the following request from Patrick McMahon: <br />"Gentlemen: Re: Century Center Change Orders <br />Please find attached the following Change Orders for the <br />Century Center Project: <br />Contract #. <br />Change Order # <br />Amount <br />002-Footings <br />4 <br />+ <br />3,799.00 (EDA) <br />003-Foundations <br />1 <br />+ <br />1,202.00 (EDA) <br />004-Concrete.. <br />2; <br />+ <br />6,901.00 <br />021--Furring, Lathe & <br />Plaster <br />1 <br />+ <br />4,280.07 <br />022-Floor Tile <br />1 <br />- <br />966.00 <br />023--Ceilings <br />1 <br />- <br />4,200.00 <br />039-HVAC <br />1 <br />+ <br />2,492.40 <br />040-Plumbing <br />2 <br />+ <br />4,133.00 (EDA) <br />042-Sprinklers <br />1 <br />+ <br />1,041.60 <br />18,683.07 <br />Change Orders previously approved $121,936.76 <br />Original Contract Price Total $6,339,608.00 <br />Total Project to Date $6,480,227.83 <br />Very truly yours, <br />s/ Patrick M. Mc l,,hhon, <br />Manager " <br />Mr. 11cMahon was present and advised the Board that these are routine <br />change orders. There is a cover letter attached to each change order <br />explaining the change. The change orders relate to adjustments <br />required in the contract. Mr. Mullen asked Mr. McMahon if the <br />construction is ahead of schedule. Mr. McMahon said it is on schedule. <br />Gene Evans, Civic Planning Association, inquired about the amount in <br />the contingency fund and Mr. McMahon said the amount was $170,000 <br />and the Change Orders so far are 60% of that amount. <br />SIGNING OF TITLE SHEET AND BID ADVERTISING APPROVED - SIGNALIZATION <br />PROJECTS ON IRELAND ROAD - R & S 85 <br />The title sheet approving the plans for R & S 85, the signalization <br />of Ireland and Fellows, Ireland and Miami and Miami and Scottsdale Mall <br />were submitted to the Board. Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board approved the title sheet <br />approving the plans. Ralph Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting requested that the Board advertise for bids for the <br />project. Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the Board authorized the advertising for bids for R & S 85, <br />with sealed bids to be received on April 12, 1976. <br />
