REGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 22, 1975 <br />1 <br />BONDS EXTENDED <br />Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board that the following <br />bonds were properly executed and could be approved: <br />Contractor's - Van Overberghe Builders, Inc. to 12/31/76 <br />Contractor's - Fred Black Construction Co. to 1/l/ 77 <br />Excavation - Fred Procaccino, Inc. to 12/31/76 <br />Excavation - Raymond F. Hoffman, Inc. to 12/31/76 <br />Excavation - H. De Wulf Mechanical Contractor, Inc. to 12/31/76 <br />Excavation - Vic Trippel to 12/31/76 <br />Contractor's - Industrial Sandblasting & Coating, Inc. to 1/l/77 <br />Contractor's Rieth Riley Construction Co., Inc. to l/l/77 <br />Excavation - Rieth Riley Construction Co., Inc. to 1/l/77 <br />Excavation - Herbert H. Law to 12/31/76 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bonds were approved to the dates <br />listed. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period of December 12 through December 16 <br />was received. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the report was ordered <br />filed. <br />AMENDED EASEMENT AGREEMENT APPROVED - DR. ROBERT ALLEN <br />An amended easement agreement between the City of South Bend and Dr. Robert Allen <br />and prepared by Attorney Stephen Seall was submitted to the Board. This easement <br />agreement extends an original easement approved on July 28, 1975 for an additional <br />seven feet to include all of a recent sewer installation. Kathleen Cekanski., <br />Deputy City Attorney, advised the Board that she had reviewed the easement and <br />recommended approval. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the easement <br />agreement was approved. <br />SIGNING OF CONTRACT - RENTAL OF UNIFORMS <br />A contract with Monarch, Inc. for the rental of uniforms for various City <br />Departments was drawn up by Deputy City Attorney Kathleen Cekanski in accordance <br />with the bid accepted by the Board. The contract has been signed by the <br />President of Monarch, Inc. and Miss Cekanski recommended that the Board sign <br />the contract. Upon -motion made, seconded and carried, the Board signed the <br />contract for uniform rental. <br />APPROVAL TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR PARKING GARAGE ELEVATOR MAINTENANCE <br />Mr. Farrand requested that the Board approve the advertising for bids for a <br />maintenance contract for the elevators in the City parking garages. He <br />noted that the present contract expires on February 1, 1976 and that he was <br />recommending that the Board seek a full maintenance contract to cover all <br />the component parts of the system. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />the Board approved the request and authorized the Clerk to advertise for bids <br />with sealed bids to be received on January 5, 1976. <br />
