REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 22, 1975 1 BONDS EXTENDED Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board that the following bonds were properly executed and could be approved: Contractor's - Van Overberghe Builders, Inc. to 12/31/76 Contractor's - Fred Black Construction Co. to 1/l/ 77 Excavation - Fred Procaccino, Inc. to 12/31/76 Excavation - Raymond F. Hoffman, Inc. to 12/31/76 Excavation - H. De Wulf Mechanical Contractor, Inc. to 12/31/76 Excavation - Vic Trippel to 12/31/76 Contractor's - Industrial Sandblasting & Coating, Inc. to 1/l/77 Contractor's Rieth Riley Construction Co., Inc. to l/l/77 Excavation - Rieth Riley Construction Co., Inc. to 1/l/77 Excavation - Herbert H. Law to 12/31/76 Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bonds were approved to the dates listed. STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED The Street Light Outage Report for the period of December 12 through December 16 was received. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the report was ordered filed. AMENDED EASEMENT AGREEMENT APPROVED - DR. ROBERT ALLEN An amended easement agreement between the City of South Bend and Dr. Robert Allen and prepared by Attorney Stephen Seall was submitted to the Board. This easement agreement extends an original easement approved on July 28, 1975 for an additional seven feet to include all of a recent sewer installation. Kathleen Cekanski., Deputy City Attorney, advised the Board that she had reviewed the easement and recommended approval. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the easement agreement was approved. SIGNING OF CONTRACT - RENTAL OF UNIFORMS A contract with Monarch, Inc. for the rental of uniforms for various City Departments was drawn up by Deputy City Attorney Kathleen Cekanski in accordance with the bid accepted by the Board. The contract has been signed by the President of Monarch, Inc. and Miss Cekanski recommended that the Board sign the contract. Upon -motion made, seconded and carried, the Board signed the contract for uniform rental. APPROVAL TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR PARKING GARAGE ELEVATOR MAINTENANCE Mr. Farrand requested that the Board approve the advertising for bids for a maintenance contract for the elevators in the City parking garages. He noted that the present contract expires on February 1, 1976 and that he was recommending that the Board seek a full maintenance contract to cover all the component parts of the system. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request and authorized the Clerk to advertise for bids with sealed bids to be received on January 5, 1976.
