1
1
REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 8, 1975
COMPLAINT RE: 1021 GOLFVIEW LANE
Mrs. John Maure, 1033 Golfview Lane, was present to protest to'
the Board about sub -standard conditions at a house located at 1021
Golfview Lane. Mrs. Maure said she had called the condition of
this property to the attention of various agencies with nonsuccess.
Mr. Barcome advised Mrs. Maure that this was a matter for the Board
of Public Safety and he requested that it be placed on the agenda
for the December 9 meeting of the Board. Mrs. Maure said she would
be present at that time to present a petition to the Board.
REMONSTRANCE AGAINST CLOSING OF VERNON STREET CROSSING
The Board previously received a petition requesting that the City
close the Vernon Street crossing. That petition is being reviewed
by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting. The Board now received a
letter from the Lincoln School P.T.A. opposing the proposed closing
in the interests of the school children in the area. They feel
that children in the area would walk; over the crossing if it were
closed, leading to a more dangerous situation than leaving the crossing
open. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board filed the
letter and directed that it be placed with the petition for the closing.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, upon
motion made, seconded and carried, it was adjourned at 10:30 a.m.
00
Rollin E.
