REGULAR MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 29, 1975 <br />CHANGE ORDER APPROVED - WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT ADDITIONS <br />Mr. Patel of Clyde E. Williams and Associates was present and <br />submitted to the Board .Change Order No. 12, the final change <br />order for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Additions from the Sollitt <br />Construction Company. The Change Order was in the amount of $107,047.05 <br />and was approved by Clyde E. Williams and Associates. Total amount <br />of the contract was $7,156,152.84. Upon motion made, seconded and <br />carried, the Change Order was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RIVER BEND APPLICATIONS <br />Douglas Simpson, Director of River Bend Plaza, submitted the following <br />applications to the Board with a favorable recommendation. <br />United Way Campaign - Display Only, October 6, 7 and 8. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the application. <br />John Spagnola Fresh ,Produce Dealer - Wednesdays and Fridays. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, the application was approved <br />subject to receipt of liability insurance and licensing. <br />Michigan State Band - Concert on Saturday, October 4 at 9:30 a.m. <br />Ralph Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, reviewed <br />+ this request with Captain Sweitzer of the Police Department. Approval <br />was recommended and it was noted that a police escort will be provided <br />for the band from the downtown area to the Notre Dame Stadium. Upon <br />-� motion made, seconded and carried, the application was approved. <br />REPORT - SIMON BROTHERS REQUEST <br />Ralph Wadzinski, Manager, Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, reported <br />to the Board that he had reviewed the request of Simon Brothers to <br />allow parking on Bendix Drive on September 20 for their Food Show <br />Exhibit. Mr. Wadzinski said a field investigation revealed that parking <br />on Bendix Drive in this area is not prohibited. Captain Sweitzer of <br />the Police Department Traffic Detail concurred that parking on Bendix <br />Drive in this area would not cause problems. Mr. Wadzinski requested <br />that this report be entered into the minutes of the Board since no <br />action is required. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board <br />filed the report. <br />CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE FILED <br />Certificates of Insurance from the LaFree Excavating Company and <br />the Scottish Rite Lodge were received. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, the Certificates were ordered filed. <br />BONDS APPROVED <br />Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board that <br />bonds for James Kruszynski to September 18, 1976 and for Tom Davis <br />to January 21, 1976 were properly executed and could be approved. <br />Both are contractor's bonds. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />the Board approved the bonds to the dates listed. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period of September 15 through <br />September 26 was received. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />the report was ordered filed. <br />
