72 <br />REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 2, 1975 <br />REPORT ON PETITIONS FOR STOP SIGNS - REX AND LELAND-VAN BUREN AND ALLEN <br />The Board received the following report from the Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting in regard to petitions filed by Councilman Joseph Serge <br />for stop signs at Rex and Leland and at Van Buren and Allen: <br />Rex and Leland. Mr. Wadzinski reported that approval for a stop <br />sign on Rex at Leland was given on August 11, 1975 and that installation <br />should be complete at this time. The petition requested a stop sign <br />on Leland, but since Rex dead -ends into Leland, the proper installa- <br />tion is on Rex. Watch Children signs will be installed on Leland <br />off Portage and Riverside and on Rex off Portage. <br />Van Buren at Allen. Mr. Wadzinski reported that the petition for a <br />stop sign at this location is presently under study and the results <br />will be forwarded to the Board in the near future. <br />Upon motion made;by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Seitz, and carried, <br />the Board ordered the reports filed. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 25 ADOPTED - SALE OF CITY -OWNED REAL ESTATE <br />Upon motion made by Mr. Seitz, seconded by Mr. Farrand, and carried, <br />the following resolution was adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 25, 1975 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend has <br />compiled a detailed inventory of all real property owned by the <br />City of South Bend, Indiana, pursuant to Section 30 A-1 of the <br />Municipal Code of the City of South Bend; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has reviewed said inventory of <br />real property and now finds that certain of the parcels of real <br />estate now owned by the City are not necessary to the public use <br />and are not set aside by state or city law for public purposes <br />pursuant to Section #0 A-2 of the Municipal Code of the City of <br />South Bend; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works now wishes to take the necsssary <br />action to make it possible for the Board, in the future, to sell <br />said parcels of real estate pursuant to Chapter 30 A-2 of the <br />Municipal Code of the City of South Bend, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the <br />City of South.Bend, Indiana: <br />1. That the parcels of real estate owned by the City contained <br />in the following list are not necessary to the public use <br />and are not set aside by state or city law for public <br />purposes• <br />STREET ADDRESS <br />1033 Georgiana <br />920 S.
