Werntz (Continued) <br />CC 803 - Roll Up Grilles 3,775 <br />CC1000 - Toilet Partitions 8,250 <br />CC1006 - Toilet Accessories 14,050 <br />The bids of the White Machinery Company, Railex Corporation and <br />Granco Steel Products Company were non -responsive and the bids were <br />not read. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bids were referred to <br />the Bureau of Public Construction for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING OF BIDS -.REMODELING OF LOTH, 12TH, 13TH & 14TH FLOORS <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for the remodeling of the <br />10th, 12th, 13th and 14th floors of the County -City Building. The <br />Clerk tendered proofs of piiblication of notice in the South Bend <br />Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. <br />The following bids were opened and publicly read: <br />,Palmer Construction Company Bid was signed by Robert D. Palmer, <br />Mishawaka, Indiana non -collusion affidavit was in order <br />and a 5% bid bond was submitted. <br />Bid A, 12th, 13th and 14th Floors - $15,367.00 <br />Bid B, 10th Floor - $4,439.00 <br />Nunemaker Construction Company Bid was unsigned so the bid was not <br />read. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bid was referred to the <br />Bureau of Public Construction for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - REMODELING OF CELL BLOCK, CITY JAIL <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for the remodeling of the <br />cell block in the City jail. The Clerk tendered proofs of publicaton <br />of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which <br />were --found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and <br />publicly read: <br />Herrman & Goetz, Inc. Bid was signed by Thomas J. <br />Hermann, non -collusion <br />affidavit was in order and a <br />5% bid bond was submitted. <br />Bid - $6,930.00. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bid was referred to <br />the Bureau of Building Maintenance for review and recommendation. <br />PUBCHASE AGREEMENT APPROVED - SALE OF OLD FIRE STATION FOUR <br />The Board received a purchase agreement for the sale of Old Fire <br />Station Number Four, 1210 W. Thomas Street, to Richard Kennedy <br />for a total purchase price of $8310. Kathleen Cekanski, Deputy <br />City Attorney, advised the Board that she had prepared the contract <br />and had reviewed it with Mr. Kennedy. It is now ready for Board <br />approval. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved <br />the purchase agreement. <br />
