25 REGULAR MEETING JULY 21, 1975 TITLE SHEET APPROVED - PORTAGE-ELWOOD INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS The title sheet approving the plans for the Portage and Elwood intersection improvements was submitted to the Board. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the title sheet approving the plans was approved. Mr. Farrand noted that the Engineer's Estimate for the project was $15,000 and the ordinance for funding has been filed with the Common Council. BONDS APPROVED Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of. Engineering, reported to the Board, that the following bonds were in proper form and could be approved: Tuggy Itow d/b/a Ralph Keller Concrete Co. to December 31, 1975 Alfred Bolden to December 31, 1975 Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bonds were approved to the dates listed. STREET LIGHT OUTAGE -REPORT FILED The Street Light Outage Report for the period of July 11 through 17 was received. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the report + was ordered filed. REQUEST TO PARK BUSES IN 1100 BLOCK EAST LA SALLE RECEIVED J The Board received a request from the Sinai Synagogue to park buses on the south side of the 1100 block East LaSalle, in,Tront of the synagogue, on Sunday, August 3 in connection with a softball tournament. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for review and recommendation. ANNOUNCEMENT OF PARKING IN 100 BLOCK NORTH MICHIGAN Mr. Farrand announced that a parking lot is now in operation in the 100 block of North Michigan Street, the Wyman block. FILING EASEMENT AND DEDICATION ROBERT ALLEN PROPERTY ON MIAMI ROAD Stephen Seall, Attorney, was present representing Dr. Robert Allen. Mr. Seall presented to the Board a deed of dedication and a deed of easement. The dedication was for a street running west from Miami Road, just opposite the Scottsdale Mall entrance. Mr. Seall said Dr. Allen will be responsible for having a surface constructed on the street and that the Engineering Department was familiar with the dedication. The easement is for a 12 foot permanent easement for storm and sanitary sewers. Upon motion made, seconded and carried the dedication and easement documents were referred to the Bureau of Design and Administration for review and recommendation. DISCUSSION ON STATUS OF MADISON STREET BRIDGE John Linstaedt of the Fair Tax Association asked the Board the status of the Madison Street bridge project. He said County Commissioner Richard Larrison had indicated in a recent interview that the project was awaiting further action from the City. Mr. Farrand noted that the City had offered to do the design work for the project, but the County had indicated they would do it. He said the City is now waiting for some action on the part of the County.
