25 <br />REGULAR MEETING JULY 21, 1975 <br />TITLE SHEET APPROVED - PORTAGE-ELWOOD INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS <br />The title sheet approving the plans for the Portage and Elwood <br />intersection improvements was submitted to the Board. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, the title sheet approving the <br />plans was approved. Mr. Farrand noted that the Engineer's Estimate <br />for the project was $15,000 and the ordinance for funding has been <br />filed with the Common Council. <br />BONDS APPROVED <br />Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of. Engineering, reported to the Board, <br />that the following bonds were in proper form and could be approved: <br />Tuggy Itow d/b/a Ralph Keller Concrete Co. to December 31, 1975 <br />Alfred Bolden to December 31, 1975 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bonds were approved to <br />the dates listed. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE -REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period of July 11 through <br />17 was received. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the report <br />+ was ordered filed. <br />REQUEST TO PARK BUSES IN 1100 BLOCK EAST LA SALLE RECEIVED <br />J <br />The Board received a request from the Sinai Synagogue to park buses <br />on the south side of the 1100 block East LaSalle, in,Tront of the <br />synagogue, on Sunday, August 3 in connection with a softball <br />tournament. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request was <br />referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for review and <br />recommendation. <br />ANNOUNCEMENT OF PARKING IN 100 BLOCK NORTH MICHIGAN <br />Mr. Farrand announced that a parking lot is now in operation in the <br />100 block of North Michigan Street, the Wyman block. <br />FILING EASEMENT AND DEDICATION ROBERT ALLEN PROPERTY ON MIAMI ROAD <br />Stephen Seall, Attorney, was present representing Dr. Robert Allen. <br />Mr. Seall presented to the Board a deed of dedication and a deed <br />of easement. The dedication was for a street running west from Miami <br />Road, just opposite the Scottsdale Mall entrance. Mr. Seall said <br />Dr. Allen will be responsible for having a surface constructed on the <br />street and that the Engineering Department was familiar with the <br />dedication. The easement is for a 12 foot permanent easement for <br />storm and sanitary sewers. Upon motion made, seconded and carried <br />the dedication and easement documents were referred to the Bureau <br />of Design and Administration for review and recommendation. <br />DISCUSSION ON STATUS OF MADISON STREET BRIDGE <br />John Linstaedt of the Fair Tax Association asked the Board the status <br />of the Madison Street bridge project. He said County Commissioner <br />Richard Larrison had indicated in a recent interview that the project <br />was awaiting further action from the City. Mr. Farrand noted that the <br />City had offered to do the design work for the project, but the County <br />had indicated they would do it. He said the City is now waiting for <br />some action on the part of the County. <br />
