JULY 8, 1975 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />APPROVAL OF REPLACEMENT CONTRACTS FOR GAS SERVICE .- MORRIS CIVIC <br />AUDITORIUM <br />Contracts for Gas Service for the Morris Civic Auditorium were <br />signed by the Board on June 9, 1975, and sent to the Northern <br />Indiana Public Service Company for signature. Robert Fenimore <br />of the Gas Company submitted replacement contracts and advised <br />Kathleen Cekanski, Deputy City Attorney, that the original contracts <br />were in error and that these contracts. should be approved, Miss <br />Cekanski advised the Board that she had requested and received a <br />letter from Mr. Fenimore revoking the original contracts signed by <br />the Board. She now recommended that the Board sign the replacement <br />contracts. Upon <br />replacementmade, <br />contractsnfor Gas Servicecarried, <br />tothe <br />theBoard <br />Morris <br />approved the <br />Civic Auditorium. <br />REPORT ON BIDS FOR SALE OF OLD NO. FOUR.FIRE STATION <br />Deputy City Attorney Kathleen Cekanski reported to the Board that <br />her recommendation on the bids for the sale of old No. Four Fire <br />Station was not yet complete. She said it would be submitted to <br />the Board for the July 14 meeting. <br />RIVER BEND PLAZA APPLICATIONS <br />An application was received from Douglas Simpson representing <br />River Bend Plaza to hold a Bike Rally downtown on July 12, 1975 from <br />11:00 a.m. to 2;00 p.m. Details for the rally have been worked out <br />:.�.7 with Captain Sweitzer of the Police Department Traffic Detail an <br />Ralph Wadzinski, Bureau of Traffic and Lighting. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the application. <br />BOND RELEASED - KENNETH ESLINGER <br />The Board received a request for the release of the Contractor's Bond <br />for Kenneth Eslinger. Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, <br />reported to the Bord that the bond could be released effective July <br />8, 1975. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board released <br />the bond of Kenneth Eslinger effective July 8, 1975. <br />BOND CONTINUATION APPROVED - SAM DOI <br />A continuation certificate for the Contractor's Bond of Sam Doi <br />was received with a report from Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, <br />that the continuation was properly executed and could be approved. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the bond <br />of Sam Doi to May 7, 1976. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period of June 27 through <br />July 7 was received. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the <br />report was ordered filed. <br />CIVIC CENTER CLAIMS APPROVED <br />Patrick McMahon, Manager of the Bureau of Public Construction, submitted <br />Civic Center claims from Sollitt Construction Company and Johnson-Burgee <br />for approval.. The claims cover the period of February, April and. -May <br />for Johnson-Burgee and March through May for Sollitt Construction <br />Company. Mr. McMahon recommended that the claims be approved. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the claims <br />for Johnson-Burgee and the Sollitt Construction Company. <br />
