Minutes of the p <br />meeting were reviewed and approved. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - DEMOLITION OF TURNER BUILDING <br />This was the date set for receiving bids fort. Bid was signed by Jack Warner, <br />Elkhart, Indiana non -collusion affidavit was in order <br />and a 5% bid bond was submitted. <br />Bid - $8,990.00 <br />LaFree Excavating Co. <br />Mishawaka, Indiana <br />Bid - $6,400.00 <br />Tony Tomich & Sons,Inc. <br />Joliet, Illinois <br />Bid - $12,250.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Company <br />South Bend,.Indiana <br />Bid - $20,000.00 <br />Ritschard Brothers <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Bid was signed by Richard LaFree, <br />non -collusion affidavit was in order <br />and a 5% bid bond accompanied the bid. <br />Bid was signed by Tony Tomich, Jr., <br />non -collusion affidavit was in order, <br />and a $612.50 certified check was submitted. <br />Bid was signed by Julius O'Neal, Jr., <br />non-collusion <br />n00certified check <br />affidavit was in <br />order <br />and a $1,000 <br />was submitted. <br />Bid was signed by Donald Ritschard, <br />non -collusion affidavit was in order <br />and a 5% bid bond was submitted. <br />Bid - $14,900.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded ondfoorrreviewthe andbids were recommendation. Up <br />and carried, the Board approved the recommendation and awarded the <br />bid to the Powell Tool Supply Company on.their low bid of $16,397.20. <br />RECOMMENDATION FILED - PETITION TO VACATE NORTH -SOUTH ALLEY EAST <br />OF WALNUT STREET <br />The Bureau of Design and Administration sent atoevacateotthe. Board <br />that the petition of William Lagodney, e <br />north -south alley between hebster northalineWalnut <br />theStreet <br />firstfrom <br />easttwest�alley <br />uth <br />line of Fisher Street to t �osed <br />had been reviewed and the Bureau has no objection tothle propiri made, <br />vacation, subject to existing utility easements.
