REGULAR MEETING JUNE 30, 1975 <br />SIGNING OF TITLE SHEET - ISLAND PARK AND WRITE WATER WAY <br />The Title Sheet approving the plans for Island Park and the White <br />Water Way were submitted to the Board. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, the title sheet approving the plans was approved by <br />the Board. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period of June 23 through <br />28 was received. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the <br />report was ordered filed. <br />RIVER BEND PLAZA APPLICATIONS APPROVED <br />The following applications for food booths for the Ethnic Festival <br />July 4, 5 and 6 were submitted to the Board with the favorable <br />recommendation of Louis Wilcox. Upon motion made, seconded and <br />carried, the applications were approved, subject to the filing <br />of insurance certificates and.securing of County Health Permits: <br />Thomas Farkas, Hungarian Group, Jewish Community Council, Central <br />Polish -American Organization, La Casa De Amistad, Delta Sigma Theta <br />& Olivet A.M.E. Church, D.F.V. German Club, James Puzzelo, Thomas <br />` E. Redman Beaux Artes Ballet Guild, Greek Community, Ukrainian Youth <br />Group, Irish -American Association, John Adams Band Boosters, Marian <br />High School Swim Team, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, <br />Crafts: Chris Johnson, Fred Bacon, Riley High School Photo Club <br />(Nancy Barkdull and Jackie Groh, Sharon Kinzie, Elaine Smith. <br />The following applications for display booths for the Ethnic <br />Festival were submitted to the Board with the favorable recommendation <br />of Louis Wilcox. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the <br />applications were approved: <br />St. Joseph County Dental Auxiliary, German American National Congress, <br />Young Women's Christian Association, Northern Indiana Historical <br />Society, South Bend Bicentennial Committee, Episcopal Day Care, <br />Michiana Photo Club, Willadene Miltenberger, Meadowbrook Senior <br />Citizens, Tower Toastmasters Club, American Red Cross, South Bend Police, <br />Youth for Understanding Foundation, Indiana Dance Theatre, South <br />Bend Fire Department. <br />CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FILED - NORTH A14ERICAN SIGNS, INC. <br />A Certificate of Insurance was received from North American Signs, Inc. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board filed the certificate. <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES APPROVED <br />The Bureau of Traffic and Lighting recommended to the Board the <br />installation of Stop Signs at Evergreen Lane and Meadow Lane. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />The Bureau of Traffic and Lighting recommended removal of the No Parking, <br />Tow Away Zone signs at 1200 W. Thomas Street. 'Signs were posted while <br />No. 4 Fire Station was located there and are no longer needed. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried the recommendation was approved. <br />REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR TRUCK APPROVED <br />The Bureau of Traffic and Lighting requested approval to advertise <br />for a One Ton Truck. Specifications will be filed with the Board. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request <br />and directed the Clerk to advertise for bids on July 3 and 11, with <br />sealed bids to be received on July 14, 1975'. <br />
