REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE' 3 0 , 19 7 5 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:30 a.m, on Monday, June 30, 1975 by Chairman Rollin Farrand with <br />all members present. Deputy City Attorney Kathleen Cekanski was <br />also present. Minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and <br />approved. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - SALE OF OLD FIRE STATION FOUR <br />This was the date set for receiving sealed bids for the purchase <br />of old Fire Station No. Four, 1210 W. Thomas Street. The Clerk <br />tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune <br />and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The <br />following bids were opened and publicly read: <br />Bankers Dispatch Corporation Bid - $8000.00 <br />Chicago, Illinois <br />Gloria J. Frankel Bid - $8200.00 <br />Kennedy Electric Company Bid - $8310.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bids were referred to <br />the Division of Engineering for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - CLOSED CIRCUIT TELEVISION MONITORING SYSTEM <br />CITY JAIL FACILITY <br />This was the date set for receiving sealed bids for the closed <br />circuit television monitoring system for the Bureau of Police <br />Jail Facility. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice <br />in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found <br />to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly <br />read: <br />Powell Tool & Supply Company <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Bid - 16,397.20 <br />Radio Distributing Company <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Bid was signed by Lawrence L. <br />Powell, non -collusion affidavit was <br />in order and a certified check in <br />the amount.of $1640.00 was submitted. <br />Bid was signed by Don Yates, non - <br />collusion affidavit was in order and <br />a certified check in the amount of <br />$1661.00 was submitted <br />Bid - $16,610.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bids were referred to <br />the Bureau of Police for review and recommendation. <br />CONFIRMATION OF IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3415, 1975 <br />This was the date set for receiving written comments from property <br />owners in regard to Improvement Resolution No. 3415, 1975 for the <br />construction of sanitary sewers in the Homeland Subdivision, No. 2 <br />on Ewing from Olive to Meade, continuing on Meade from Ewing to <br />Prairie, continuing on Prairie from Meade to Irvington. There were <br />no written comments received from any property owners. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, the Board confirmed Improvement Resolution <br />No. 3415, 1975 as adopted June 2, 1975, and the improvement is <br />hereby ordered to be made. <br />LETTER OF CONCURRENCE - RELOCATION OF STATE ROAD 2 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the following letter was <br />approved by the Board: <br />
