REGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 19, 1977 <br />FILING OF PETITION TO VACATE ENCROACHMENT ON PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY ON MADISON STREET <br />Mr. & Mrs. Charles Hafron and Mr. & Mrs. Kirk Howard file a petition to vacate <br />an existing encroachment on West Madison Street. The petitioners note that the <br />encroachment has been in existence for many years and.the purpose of this <br />vacation petition is to permit the purchasers of the property to receive clear <br />title to the property. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen <br />and carried, the petition was filed and referred to the Division of Engineering <br />for preliminary review and utility.check. <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE APPROVED <br />Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, recommended <br />to the Board the installation of No Parking, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 531 N. Hill <br />Street, at the request of the resident at that address, which is adjacent to <br />Kevin's Place. Mr. Mullen inquired whether this proposal had been discussed with <br />representatives of business places in the area. Mr. McMahon requested that Mr. <br />Wadzinski be asked to respond to him regarding that matter. Upon motion made <br />by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendation. <br />CLAIMS APPROVED <br />Michael L. Vance, Deputy City Controller, submitted to the Board Claim Docket <br />Numbers 22181 to 22770 and recommended approval. Upon motion made by Mr. <br />McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board approved Claim Docket <br />Numbers 22181 to 22770 and directed that checks for payment be issued. <br />CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FILED - LAWSON-FISHER ASSOCIATES <br />A Certificate of Insurance for Lawson -Fisher Associates, in the amounts required <br />by the City of South Bend, was submitted to the Board. Upon motion made by <br />Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the certificate was filed. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period December 12 through 16 was received. <br />The report indicated 46 outages. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by <br />Mr. Brunner and carried, the report was ordered filed. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon motion made by <br />Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the meeting adjourned at <br />10:30 a.m. <br />ATTEST: <br />Patricia DeClercq, Clerk <br />I l <br />MI <br />
