REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 21, 1977 <br />No. 4 Fuel Oil - Murphy -Miles Division <br />Amoco Oil Company - Bid Price - $.37858/gal. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the recommendation to award the bid was accepted. <br />DID AWARDED - LEASE OP AUTOMOBILE, BUREAU OF EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING <br />0 The following recommendation was received: <br />"Board of Public Works <br />Inasmuch as only one lease bid was received in response <br />to the public announcement by the Board of Public Works <br />on behalf of the Bureau of Employment and Training, I <br />would like to recommend that the Board approve this <br />lease submitted by Medow Leasing, Inc. for one 1978 <br />Dodge Aspen. <br />It should be noted that this bid represents the lowest <br />rate found by the Bureau in a telephone search several <br />weeks ago. <br />s/ Elroy Kelzenberg " <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, <br />the Board accepted the bid of Medow Leasing, Inc. to provide one <br />Dodge Aspen at a total monthly cost of $143.40 per month for twelve <br />months, with an option to extend the lease for an additional twelve <br />months at a monthly payment of $86.90 per month. <br />CONTRACT APPROVED - MUNICIPAL CODE SUPPLEMENT <br />A contract with the Municipal Code Corporation to provide loose <br />leaf supplements to the Code was submitted to the Board. Deputy City <br />Attorney Terry A. Crone advised the Board that this is an extension <br />of the contract the City presently has with this Company which <br />expires on November 30, 1977. Mr. Brunner noted that this contract <br />has been reviewed by the Legal Department and the Company is providing <br />a necessary service to the City. He recommended approval of the <br />Contract. The term of this contract will be from November 1, 1977 <br />through October 31, 1978 and provides'. for quarterly supplements <br />at a cost of $11.50 per page. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the contract was approved. <br />RECOMMENDATION FILED - PETITION TO VACATE NORTH -SOUTH ALLEY EAST <br />OF FRANCES STREET - SOUTH BEND CLINIC <br />The Board received a report from the Area Plan Commission that a <br />public hearing was held on the petition of the South Bend Clinic <br />to vacate the first north -south alley east of Frances Street from <br />the south right-of-way line of East LaSalle Avenue south to the <br />vacated east -west alley, City of South Bend. The Area Plan <br />Commission recommended the petition favorably to the Board of Public <br />Works. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen <br />and carried, the recommendation was filed and the petition was <br />referred to the Division of Engineering for preparation of the <br />Assessment Roll. <br />
