REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 21, 1977 No. 4 Fuel Oil - Murphy -Miles Division Amoco Oil Company - Bid Price - $.37858/gal. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the recommendation to award the bid was accepted. DID AWARDED - LEASE OP AUTOMOBILE, BUREAU OF EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING 0 The following recommendation was received: "Board of Public Works Inasmuch as only one lease bid was received in response to the public announcement by the Board of Public Works on behalf of the Bureau of Employment and Training, I would like to recommend that the Board approve this lease submitted by Medow Leasing, Inc. for one 1978 Dodge Aspen. It should be noted that this bid represents the lowest rate found by the Bureau in a telephone search several weeks ago. s/ Elroy Kelzenberg " Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Board accepted the bid of Medow Leasing, Inc. to provide one Dodge Aspen at a total monthly cost of $143.40 per month for twelve months, with an option to extend the lease for an additional twelve months at a monthly payment of $86.90 per month. CONTRACT APPROVED - MUNICIPAL CODE SUPPLEMENT A contract with the Municipal Code Corporation to provide loose leaf supplements to the Code was submitted to the Board. Deputy City Attorney Terry A. Crone advised the Board that this is an extension of the contract the City presently has with this Company which expires on November 30, 1977. Mr. Brunner noted that this contract has been reviewed by the Legal Department and the Company is providing a necessary service to the City. He recommended approval of the Contract. The term of this contract will be from November 1, 1977 through October 31, 1978 and provides'. for quarterly supplements at a cost of $11.50 per page. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the contract was approved. RECOMMENDATION FILED - PETITION TO VACATE NORTH -SOUTH ALLEY EAST OF FRANCES STREET - SOUTH BEND CLINIC The Board received a report from the Area Plan Commission that a public hearing was held on the petition of the South Bend Clinic to vacate the first north -south alley east of Frances Street from the south right-of-way line of East LaSalle Avenue south to the vacated east -west alley, City of South Bend. The Area Plan Commission recommended the petition favorably to the Board of Public Works. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the recommendation was filed and the petition was referred to the Division of Engineering for preparation of the Assessment Roll.
