REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 21, 1977 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:30 a.m. on Monday, November 21, 1977 by President Patrick M. <br />McMahon, with Mr. McMahon, Mr. Brunner and Mr. Mullen present. <br />Deputy City Attorney Terry A. Crone was also present. <br />MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING APPROVED <br />Mr. Brunner reported that the minutes of the November 14 meeting had <br />been reviewed and he made a motion that they be approved as submitted. <br />Mr. McMahon seconded the motion and it carried. <br />RESCHEDULING OF DECEMBER 5 MEETING <br />Mr. McMahon noted that it would be necessary to reschedule the regular <br />meeting of December 5 because two Board members would be out of town <br />on that day. He made a motion that the meeting of December 5 be <br />rescheduled to Friday, December 2. Mr. Brunner seconded the motion <br />and it carried. <br />ANNOUNCEMENT - SOLID WASTE PICK-UP SCHEDULE FOR THANKSGIVING WEEK <br />It was announced that the Bureau of Solid Waste will make regular <br />pick-up on November 24 and 25, Thanksgiving week. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - CREST MANOR SE14ER PROJECT <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for the construction of <br />sanitary sewers in Crest Manor Section 2, Abshire and Berkshire Drives. <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South <br />Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be <br />sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: <br />Marion Hamilton & Son, Inc. Bid was signed by Clifford Hamilton, <br />60689 U. S. 31, South non -collusion affidavit was in <br />South Bend, Indiana order and a 5% bid bond was <br />submitted. <br />Bid - $4,149.70 <br />Taylor Construction Co. Bid was signed by Dan Taylor, <br />63858 Pine Road non -collusion affidavit was in <br />North Liberty, Indiana order and a 5% bid bond was <br />submitted. <br />Bid - $3,299.00 <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, <br />the bids were referred to the Bureau of Design and Administration <br />for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - FIRE DEPARTMENT UNIFORMS AND ACCESSORIES <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for Uniforms and Uniform <br />Accessories for the Fire Department. The Clerk tendered proofs <br />of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County <br />News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were <br />opened and publicly read: <br />Shield Uniform Company Bid was signed by Thomas Clarisey, <br />521 E.
