REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 7, 1977 <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES APPROVED.; <br />Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />recommended,;the installation of the following traffic control <br />devices: <br />A. Installation of a No Parking -Passenger Loading Zone, from <br />7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, 1612 to <br />1614 Leer Street, the location of the Montessori School. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner <br />and carried, the installation was approved. <br />B. Installation of a twelve -minute meter and removal of a one -hour <br />meter at 300 W. Jefferson to provide for turnover of parking <br />for a business establishment. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the recommendation was <br />approved. <br />RIVER BEND PLAZA REQUESTS APPROVED <br />Mary Kay Huszar, Director of River Bend Plaza, requested that the <br />Board approve use of the Plaza on the Robertson's Stage on <br />November 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for the arrival of <br />Santa Claus and an entertainment program in conjunction with the <br />Downtown Council. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by <br />Mr. Brunner and carried, the application was approved. <br />CONCESSION STAND'ON RIVER BEND PLAZA APPROVED CONDITIONALLY <br />Mary Kay Huszar submitted to the Board the request of Mr. & Mrs. <br />Paul Colglazier to set up a concession trailer on River Bend <br />Plaza for the sale of elephant ear pastries. An insurance certificate <br />has been provided and they would like to locate.on the Plaza until <br />May, 1978. Mr.:Mullen said the Board would like to have some indication <br />of the plans for finishing the outside of the concession stand, noting <br />that the Sugar Shack and the Pretzel Palace have finished exteriors <br />of the type the Board would like to`have on the Plaza. It was suggested <br />that the Colglazier's-submit additional photographs and plans for <br />skirting or other exterior improvemefits to their trailer. Upon motion <br />made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr.�Brunner and carried the Board <br />approved the application of Mr. & Mrs. Paul Colglazier to operate a <br />concession trailer on River Bend Plaza, subject to receipt of <br />additional information regarding the exterior finishing of the trailer <br />and to securing the necessary vending license. <br />BOND RELEASED - POWERS PLUMBING & HEATING COMPANY <br />Ray S. Andrysiak advised the Board that the Surety Company which wrote <br />the bond for Powers Plumbing & Heating Company has requested release of <br />the bond. There are no outstanding permits against this company and <br />Mr. Andrysiak recommended release of the bond. Upon motion made by <br />Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board released <br />the bond of Powers Plumbing & Heating Company, effective December 31, 1977. <br />CLAIMS APPROVED <br />Michael L. Vance, Deputy City Controller, submitted to the Board Claim <br />Docket Numbers 19372 through 19748 and recommended. approval. Upon <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the <br />Board approved Claim Docket Numbers 19372 through 19748 and directed <br />that checks for payment be issued. <br />
