REGULAR MEETING JULY 18, 1977 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:30 a.m, on Monday, July 18, 1977 by President Patrick M. <br />McMahon, with Mr. McMahon, Mr. Brunner and Mr. Mullen present. <br />Also present was Deputy City Attorney Terry A. Crone. <br />REVIEW OF MINUTES OF MEETINGS <br />Mr. Brunner reported that he had reviewed the minutes of the <br />July. 11 meeting of the Board and he made a motion that they be <br />accepted as submitted. Mr. Mullen seconded the motion and it <br />carried. <br />A special meeting was held on July 7 approving a tent sale at <br />2701 S. Michigan Street from July 8 through July 25, 1977. Mr. <br />McMahon made a motion that the minutes of the special meeting <br />of July 7 be approved as submitted. Mr. Brunner seconded the <br />motion and it carried. <br />A special meeting was held on July 11, 1977. It was called to <br />the Board's attention that Grady Thompson, operator of the <br />Independent Cab Company and holder of one taxi cab license, has <br />no insurance coverage as required by the Municipal Code. A <br />hearing was set for,July 25, 1977 at 9:30 a.m. to show cause <br />why Mr. Thompson's Certificate of Public Convenience and <br />Necessity should not be revoked. Upon motion made by Mr. Mullen, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the minutes of the special <br />meeting of July 11 were approved as submitted. <br />BID OPENING - FIRE DEPARTMENT UNIFORMS AND UNIFORM ACCESSORIES <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for uniforms and uniform <br />accessories for the Fire Department. The Clerk tendered proofs <br />of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- <br />County News which were found to be sufficient.
