REGULAR MEETING
JULY 5. 1977
BID AWARDED - BUREAU OF SOLI.D:;WASTE VEHICLES
John Stancati, Director of Utilities, reported that he had
reviewed the bids received for solid waste vehicles and he
recommended that the low bid of Shamrock Ford Trucks, Inc.
be accepted. Their bid meets specifications and was as follows:
Unit A - Cab and Chassis $21,043.00
Packer and Installation - $8,990.00 (Leach Packer)
Unit B - Cab and Chassis - $8,650.00
Trade-ins - $1100.00. Total Net Bid - $37,583.00
Mr. Stancati noted that the Leach Packer is $455.00 more than the
Pak-Mor packer. The City has more Leach Packers than any other type
and experience with them has'been good. The City has no Pak-Mor
packers. The acceptance of the Leach Packer still makes the bid
of Shamrock Ford Trucks, Inc. the low bid. Upon motion made by Mr.
McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board accepted
the recommendation to award the bid for a cab and chassis with packer
and installation and a cab and chassis to Shamrock Ford Trucks, Inc.
on their low net bid of $27,583.00.
There being no further business to come before the Board, upon
motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the
meeting adjourned at 10:25 a.m. --
0
ATTEST:
Patricia DeClercq, Clerk ,
