REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 20, 1977 <br />BOND APPROVED <br />Ray S. Upon motion made by Mr. <br />Brunner and carried, the bond was approved. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED. <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period of June 13 through <br />17 was received. The report indicated 36 outages. Upon motion <br />made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the <br />report was ordered filed. <br />CLAIMS APPROVED <br />Walter F. Lantz, Deputy City Controller,,and Michael L. Vance, City <br />Auditor, submitted to the Board Claim Docket Numbers 9821 through <br />10189 and recommended approval. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board approved the claims <br />and directed that checks for payment be issued. <br />REPORTS FILED - REQUEST FOR HOUSE MOVE TO 820 W. COLFAX <br />The Board tabled a request from Lee Barnhart to move a house to <br />820 W. Colfax, using Lafayette Blvd. in the route, to allow the <br />Legal Department to research the matter. The Board received a <br />report from Deputy City Attorney Terry A. Crone that the use <br />of Lafayette Blvd. in this area is prohibited in the Municipal Code <br />and the Board, therefore, cannot approve a request for such use. <br />Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />also submitted a report on his review of the request and indicated <br />that Mr. Barnhart should determine an alternate route and proceed <br />to seek the necessary utility clearances and permit required. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, <br />the reports were filed and the Clerk was directed to advise Mr. <br />Barnhart that he will have to submit an alternate route for the <br />proposed house move for consideration. <br />PETITION FILED TO PAVE ALLEY BET14EEN RIVERSIDE DR. AND PARKVIEW PLACE <br />The Board received a petition signed by twenty-two property owners <br />asking that the alley between Riverside Drive and Parkview Place, <br />from Woodlawn Blvd. to Oakwood Blvd., be paved under Barrett Law <br />procedures. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner <br />and carried, the Board filed the petition and referred it to the <br />Bureau of Design and Administration for review and preparation of <br />a preliminary improvement resolution. <br />LETTER FROM INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER RE: BID FILED <br />International Harvester was awarded a bid for one flusher for the <br />Bureau of Streets conditioned upon approval of the funding. They <br />now advise the Board by letter that they cannot honor the bid <br />because of the change in models at the factory and the length of <br />time since their bid was submitted. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the letter was filed and <br />referred to the Legal Department for review and recommendation. <br />
