REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 20, 1977 <br />1 <br />CONTRACT APPROVED - CAR WASHES FOR CITY VEHICLES <br />A contract with Comet Car Wash for car washes for city vehicles <br />from June 1, 1977 through May 31, 1978 was prepared by Deputy <br />City Attorney Terry A. Crone and has been signed by an official <br />of Comet Car Wash. The contract is in conformity with the bid <br />accepted by the Board. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded <br />by Mr. Mullen and carried, the contract was approved. . <br />LETTER FROM TIM ZEAK RE: CABLEVISION FILED <br />A letter from Tim Zeak, South' Bend Antenna Service, was received <br />outlining problems Mr. Zeak alleges are caused by radiation leaks <br />from Indiana Cablevision Company equipment. Mr. Zeak listed six <br />locations where problems are occurring. Mr. McMahon noted that <br />the Board had been contacted by Jess King, of Indiana Cablevision, <br />asking if he should attend this meeting. Mr. McMahon said a meeting <br />will be set up with the Board, Mr. King and Mr. Zeak to discuss <br />these problems. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. <br />Mullen and carried, the letter was ordered filed. <br />REQUESTS TO PURCHASE CITY-014NED LOTS FILED <br />The Board received a request from Bennie Kirk regarding possible <br />purchase of a city -owned lot at 412 Ohio Street and from John <br />Williams, regarding the lot at 602 N. Blaine Avenue. Upon motion <br />made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the letters <br />were filed and the requests referred to the Division of Engineering, <br />the Park Depatment, the Redevelopment Department for review and <br />a determination as to whether the lots are needed for any purpose. <br />REQUEST FOR STREET SERVICES FILED <br />Minister Harold Benman requested that the Board allow him to conduct <br />street services at Keasey and Rush Streets on Wednesdays from 6 to 8 <br />p.m. and on Saturdays from 3 until 5 p.m. throughout the summer. Upon <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the <br />request was filed and referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />and the Police Department.Traffic Detail for review and recommendation. <br />STREET LIGHT RECOMMENDATIONS APPROVED <br />The Bureau of Traffic and Lighting submitted the following street light <br />recommendations to the Board: <br />Installation of the following street lights: <br />Midblock, 1400 Ruskin, 7000L MV $4.80 <br />Midblock, 1700 Huron, 7000L MV 4.80 <br />Midblock, 1100 Humboldt 7000L MV 4.80 <br />1300 North Cove 7000L MV 4.80 <br />On Riding Mall at Crown Ct. 7000L ]MV 12.11 <br />On Riding Mall at Winslow 7000L MV 12.11 <br />On Riding Mall at Gotham 7000L MV 12.11 <br />On Gothan at Croydon 7000L MV 12.11 <br />On Croydon Ct. 7000L 14V 12.11 <br />On Crown Ct. 7000L MV 12.11 <br />On Winslow Ct. 7000L MV 12.11 <br />600 N.
