RIVER BEND PLAZA APPLICATION DENIED The Board received a request from Shawn Walker to display a converted Greyhound Bus on River Bend Plaza during the Ethnic Festival and charge admission. It was felt that this was not in keeping with the Ethnic Festival purpose. Upon motion made by Mr. Mullen, seconded by Mr. McMahon, and carried, the request was denied. PARKING REMOVAL ON WEST SIDE OF 800 S. ILLINOIS APPROVED Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, reported to the Board that he had reviewed the request of residents of the 800 block S. Illinois Street that parking on the West side of the block be prohibited. He noted that only two homeowners in the 800 block did not sign the petition and both these residents have parking available other than on Illinois Street. There will be no apparent adverse effects on traffic flow or safety and Mr. Wadzinski recommended approval, noting that the block would also be posted with Speed Limit 30 signs. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board approved the recommendation to remove parking from the west side of the 800 block South Illinois Street.
