REGUT.;AR P/EEfi2NG <br />MAY 16, 1977 <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES APPROVED <br />The following traffic control devices were recommended for approval <br />by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting: <br />1. Removal of two hour parking limit on the east side of 1600 S. <br />Main Street, no longer needed by existing business. Upon <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the removal Was approved. <br />2. Removal of two hour parking at 441 E. LaSalle, where this. <br />signage conflicts with existing "No Parking, 6 a.m. to 9 a.ri. <br />and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. signs. Upon motion made by Plr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the removal was approved. <br />3. Installation of No Parking, 1000 block of Portage Avenue, to <br />extend an existing no parking zone and reduce congestion, increasing <br />intersection capacity. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded <br />by Mr. Brunner and carried, the installation was approved. <br />CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FILED <br />An insurance certificate submitted by the Sollitt Construction <br />Company was reviewed by Deputy City Attorney Georgia Luks and she <br />recommended that it be filed with the Board. Upon motion made by <br />Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the certificate <br />was ordered filed. <br />RIVER BEND PLAZA APPLICATIONS APPROVED <br />Mary Kay Huszar, Director of River Bend Plaza, recommended the <br />following applications favorably to the Board: <br />A. Display of the Indianapolis "500" Pace Car in front of the <br />J. C. Penney Store on May 21. Upon motion glade by Mr. <br />McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the display was <br />approved. <br />B. Fred Astaire Dance Studio Exhibition on June 13, 14, 15, 16 <br />and 17. Mr. McMahon made a motion that the exhibition be <br />approved. Mr. Brunner seconded the notion and it carried. <br />STREET LIGHT.OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period of Play 9 through <br />13 was submitted to the Board. The report indicated 97 outages. <br />Mr. McMahon made a motion to file the report, seconded by Mr. Mullen, <br />and carried. <br />CLAIMS APPROVED <br />Walter F. Lantz, Deputy City Controller_, and Michael L. Vance, City <br />Auditor, submitted Claim Docket Numbers 8548 through 7953 to the <br />Board and recommended approval. Mr. McMahon made a motion that the <br />claims be approved and checks issued for payment. Mr. Brunner <br />seconded the motion and it carried. <br />BID ADVERTISING APPROVED - PAINTING OF PARKING GARAGE STRUCTURES <br />Mr. McMahon requested that the Board approve advertising for bids <br />for the painting of the two parking garage structures on Colfax <br />Street and Jefferson Street. Specifications have been prepared and <br />money for the project has been budgeted. Upon motion made by Mr. <br />McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board authorized <br />advertising for bids, with sealed bids to be received on June 6. <br />
