Hite Equipment Company Bid was signed by Jerry Greenlee, <br />Plymouth, Indiana non -collusion affidavit was in <br />order and a 10% bid bond was <br />submitted. <br />Bid - One Tractor with front end loader - Net $7,861.00 <br />Tractorland Sales Bid was signed by Arnold Rosenberg, <br />Eau Claire, Michigan non -collusion affidavit was in <br />order and a certified check in <br />the amount of $781.00 was submitted. <br />Bid - Tractor with front end loader - Net $7,810.00 <br />Upon notion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and <br />carried, the bids were referred to the Bureau of Streets and <br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTRICATION TOOL <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for a Power Extrication <br />Tool for the Fire Department. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication <br />of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which <br />were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and <br />publicly read, non -collusion affidavits being in order: <br />Midwest Fire & Safety Equipment Co. Bid was signed by Michael Casse, <br />Indianapolis, Indiana non -collusion affidavit -was in <br />order and a 10% bid bond was <br />submitted. <br />Bid - $5,191.46 <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, <br />the bid was referred to the Bureau of Fire for review and recormendation. <br />BID ADVERTISING APPROVED - ANIMAL CONTROL VAN <br />The Board received a request from Ted Latkowski, Environmental <br />Protection Officer, to advertise for bids to replace one of the <br />animal control vans. Mr. Mullin noted that the equipment needs <br />replacement and revenue sharing funds will be sought for the purchase. <br />Upon notion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, <br />the request was approved and the Clerk was directed to advertise with <br />sealed bids to be received on May 16, 1977. <br />BID ADVERTISING APPROVED - CAR WASHES AND TIRE REPAIRS <br />The Board received a request from James Meehan, Manager of the Bureau <br />of Vehicle Maintenance, to advertise for new contracts for car <br />washes and tire repairs for city vehicles for the period from June 1, <br />1977 through May 31, 1978. Specifications were attached. Upon motion <br />made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board <br />approved the request and the Clerk was directed to advertise for <br />bids with sealed bids to -be received on May 16, 1977. <br />REQUEST TO PURCHASE CITY -OWNED LOT FILED <br />The Board received a request from Robert L. Williams for information <br />regarding the purchase of a city -owned lot at 102 Iowa Street. Upon <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the <br />request was filed and referred to the Bureau of Engineering, Park <br />Department, and Redevelopment Department for review and a determination <br />as to whether the lot should be retained for any purpose. <br />
