Hite Equipment Company Bid was signed by Jerry Greenlee, Plymouth, Indiana non -collusion affidavit was in order and a 10% bid bond was submitted. Bid - One Tractor with front end loader - Net $7,861.00 Tractorland Sales Bid was signed by Arnold Rosenberg, Eau Claire, Michigan non -collusion affidavit was in order and a certified check in the amount of $781.00 was submitted. Bid - Tractor with front end loader - Net $7,810.00 Upon notion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the bids were referred to the Bureau of Streets and Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for review and recommendation. OPENING OF BIDS - FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTRICATION TOOL This was the date set for receiving bids for a Power Extrication Tool for the Fire Department. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read, non -collusion affidavits being in order: Midwest Fire & Safety Equipment Co. Bid was signed by Michael Casse, Indianapolis, Indiana non -collusion affidavit -was in order and a 10% bid bond was submitted. Bid - $5,191.46 Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the bid was referred to the Bureau of Fire for review and recormendation. BID ADVERTISING APPROVED - ANIMAL CONTROL VAN The Board received a request from Ted Latkowski, Environmental Protection Officer, to advertise for bids to replace one of the animal control vans. Mr. Mullin noted that the equipment needs replacement and revenue sharing funds will be sought for the purchase. Upon notion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the request was approved and the Clerk was directed to advertise with sealed bids to be received on May 16, 1977. BID ADVERTISING APPROVED - CAR WASHES AND TIRE REPAIRS The Board received a request from James Meehan, Manager of the Bureau of Vehicle Maintenance, to advertise for new contracts for car washes and tire repairs for city vehicles for the period from June 1, 1977 through May 31, 1978. Specifications were attached. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board approved the request and the Clerk was directed to advertise for bids with sealed bids to -be received on May 16, 1977. REQUEST TO PURCHASE CITY -OWNED LOT FILED The Board received a request from Robert L. Williams for information regarding the purchase of a city -owned lot at 102 Iowa Street. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the request was filed and referred to the Bureau of Engineering, Park Department, and Redevelopment Department for review and a determination as to whether the lot should be retained for any purpose.
