1 5 REGULAR MEETING APRIL 25, 1977 A regular sleeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, April 25, 1977 by President Patrick 11. PZcMahon with Mr. Mcliahon, Mr. Brunner and Mr. Mullen present. Deputy City. Attorney Georgia C. Luks was also present. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING APPROVED Mr. Brunner reported that he had reviewed the minutes -of the April 18 meeting and he rude a notion that the minutes be approved as submitted. Mr. McMahon seconded the notion and it carried. OPENING OF BIDS - FIXED SEATING FOR CENTURY CENTER This was the date set for receiving bids for fixed seating for Century Center. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and -publicly read: Irwin Seating Company Bid was signed by William W. P. O. Box 2429 Irwin, non -collusion affidavit Grand Rapids, Pichigan was in order and a 5% bid bond was submitted. Bid - $77,770.00. There were several alternates submitted. American Seating Company Bid was signed by John TV. Dugan, 901 Broadway Ave., N. W. non -collusion affidavit was in Grand Rapids, Michigan order and a _.5% bid bond was submitted. Bid was read, with Mrs. Luks to review proper notarization of form. Bid - $77,000.00 - There was an alternate bid submitted. Imperial Enterprises Corp. Bid was signed by R. Q. Calloway, Boa{ 1190 non -collusion affidavit was in Lafayette, Indiana order and a 5% bid bond was submitted. Bid - 75,697.00. There was an alternate bid submitted. Mr. McMahon noted that there was $77,000 budgeted for 880 theatre -type seats. Upon motion made by Pir. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board referred the bids to the Director of Public Works for review and reconurlendation. OPENING OF BIDS - SALE OF CITY-011NED REAL ESTATE This was the date set for receiving bids for the ;sale of several parcels of city -owned real estate. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: Bid of James R. Rice, 1002 Dover Drive: Offering Price: 621 S. Columbia $1130.00 929.00 316 E. South 605.00 555.00 424 E. South ------ 749.00 606 S. Carroll 775.00 749.00 614 S. Columbia 790.00 780.00 Mr. Rice submitted no bid for 424 E. South Street but indicated a bid for all five parcels of $3800.00. Mr. McMahon made a motion that the bid be referred to the City Attorney's Office for review and recommendation. Mr. Brunner seconded the motion and it carried.
