REGULAR MEETING APRIL 18, 1977 be altered. Mr. Venable assured the Board that the LaPorte District will continue to observe this location and recommend any additional controls as they are needed. There was a discussion regarding any further action which could be taken. Mr. McMahon made a motion that the report .be referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for review and a recommendation from Mr. Wadzinski as to whether or no.t.he concurs with the state findings. The motion further directed that Mr. Wadzinski contact Transpo to request that their buses change their waiting location at that intersection to eliminate the problem with sight distance. Mr. Mullen seconded the motion and it carried. The Board directed that a copy of the report from the state and the request to Mr. Wadzinski be forwarded to Councilman Kopczynski, who first brought this matter to the attention of the Board. IN -KIND CONTRIBUTION VOUCHERS. FROM ACTION, INC. APPROVED A.C.T.I.O.N., Inc. submitted to the Board In -Kind Contribution Vouchers for the rental of old Fire Station #7 at 803 N. Notre Dame Avenue for PZarch in the amount of $843.16 and for the rental of old Fire Station IP10 at 1820 S. Michigan Street for March in the amount of $2,149.33. The vouchers are in accordance with the current leases between the City and A.C.T.I.O.N., Inc. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the vouchers were approved. TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE APPROVED Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, recommended that the Board approve the installation of a No Parking, Passenger Loading Zone on the South Side of St. Vincent Street east of Notre Dame, at the ramped entrance to a nursing horde. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board approved the recommendation. STREET LIGHT INSTALLATIONS APPROVED The Bureau of Traffic and Lighting recommended installation of the following street lights: On Edison between Oakridge and Rosemary - 4,000L INC $4.00/rao. On Manitou between Forest and Park 7,000L MV $4.80/rlo. On Elwood between Johnson and O'Brien 7,000L MV $4.80/mo. On Berkley between Beverly and Oakwood 7,000L MV $4.80/mo. On Woodward at alley in 1300 block 7,000L MV $4.80/mo. On Thornhill between Newton & McPherson 7,000L PIV (3 lights) $7.65x3-$22.95/mo. Total Billing Increase $46.15 Upon motion made by Mr. McP2ahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the installations were approved. APPROVAL OF APPLICATION FOR STATE HIGHWAY CURB CUT PERMIT The Board received an application to be submitted to the Indiana State Highway Commission for making curb cuts at the site of Century Center. Mr. McMahon reviewed the location of the cuts and said there will be four curb cuts. The application will be sent to the State for concurrence and issuance of the permit. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the application was approved.
