REGULAR MEETING MARCH 28, 197 7 <br />RIVER BE14D PLAZA APPLICATION OF'JOHN BAUGHMAN TABLED <br />The Board received an amended request from John Baughman III <br />to place a permanent concession stand on the Supergraphic Block <br />on River Bend Plaza. Mr. Baughman's request indicated that he <br />would provide a variety of food items and would offer catering <br />service to nearby offices and stores and hoped to locate permanently <br />on the Plaza. Mr. Brunner noted that any approval for the concession <br />would not be permanent. Mr. Mullen said he felt the Board needed to <br />review the request in connection with past guidelines and policy <br />on the Plaza. Mr. McMahon made a motion that the request be tabled <br />and referred to the Department of Public Works for review. Mr. <br />Brunner seconded the mtion and it carried. <br />CERTIFICATE OF I14SURA14CE FILED <br />A Certificate of Insurance from Bud's Wrecker Service was submitted <br />to the Board. The Company tows vehicles for the Police Department. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, <br />the Certificate was filed with the Board. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Walter F. Lantz, Deputy Cite Controller, and Michael L. Vance, <br />City Auditor, submitted claim docket numbers 4600 through 5246 <br />and recor..miended their approval. Mr. McMahon made a notion that <br />the clains be approved and checks for payment be issued. Mr. <br />Brunner seconded the motion and it carried. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage report for the period of March <br />25 was received. The report indicated seventy outages. <br />Motion nade by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />report was ordered filed. <br />REPORT P.E: CLEAN-UP CHARGES AT 234 E. INDIANA <br />21 through <br />Upon <br />carried, the <br />The Board had requested a review of charges made for the clean-up of <br />a lot at 234 E. Indiana Avenue, in response to a complaint from <br />Vernon Snits, oxmer o� the property, that he had cleaned his lot and <br />the lot the Cit17 cleaned was east of his lot. Ted Latkowski, Environ- <br />raental Protection Officer, reported that it could not be proved <br />conclusively that the lot cleaned by the City was 234 E. Indiana, so <br />lie was advising the Slater Works to remove the charges. He said this <br />property would be closely monitored in the future to be sure that <br />clean-up is billed to the correct property owner. Mr. McMahon made <br />a motion that the report be filed and they Water Works be instructed <br />to remove the billing from 234 E. Indiana. Mr. Brunner seconded the <br />motion and it carried. Mr. McMahon directed that the Environmental <br />Office attenpt to determine who should be billed for the clean-up. <br />There being <br />made by Mr. <br />adjourned at <br />ATT 'S <br />CLERK, <br />no further_ business to come before the Board, upon motion <br />TZcMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the meeting <br />10:15 a.m. <br />
