REGULAR MEETING JANUAR-I 10, 1977 Serviceriaster Building Service, Inc. Bid was signed by Matthew 1616 Bower. Street Hopman, non -collusion affidavit Elkhart, Indiana was in order and a certified chech was submitted with the bid. Bid - $20,268.10 per year Upon notion rude by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the bids were referred to Mr. Paszli, Manager, Municipal Services Facility for review and recommendation. OPENING OF BIDS - RADIO DISPATCHING UNIT, FIRE DEPARTMENT This was the date set for receiving bids for a radio dispatching unit for the Fire Department. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: Meade Electric Company Bid was signed by Robert Magnetti, 1825 Sunmer Street non -collusion affidavit was in Hammond, Indiana order and a 1070 bid bond was submitted. Bid - Console - $6,700.00 Status Map Assembly - $6,000.00 Status Map Control Functions - Option 1 - $1,300.00 Option 2 - $1,650.00 Selective Calling - $700.00 Optional Equipment, Chair - $300.00 Vertical Slide Display hit - $900.00 Motorola Communications Bid was signed by R. S. Balzer, 700 Nicholas Blvd. non -collusion affidavit was in order Elk Grove Village, Ill. and a 10% bid bond accompanied the bid. Bid - $19,975.00 Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the bids were referred to John Hunt, Bureau of Communications, for review and recoruiendation. BID AWARDED - FIRE DEPARTMENT VEHICLES The Board received a report from Fire Chief Oscar VanWiele that the bids received for six cars for the Fire Department had been reviewed and he recommended that the low bid of Gates Chevrolet Company of $25,266.62.be accepted. Mr. McMahon made a motion that the recommendation be accepted, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried. BID AWARDED - ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT VEHICLE The Board received a recommendation from James Meehan, Manager of the Bureau of Vehicle Maintenance, that the bids for one vehicle for the Engineering Department had been reviewed and that the low bid of the Gates.Chevrolet.Company of.$4,749.00 be accepted. Upon notion nade by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board accepted the recommendation to award the bid. BID AWARDED - WEIGHTS AND MEASURES VEHICLE The Board received a recommendation from James Meehan, Manager of " the Bureau of Vehicle Maintenance, that the bids received for one vehicle for the Bureau of Weights and Measures had been reviewed and he recommended that the low bid of Freerlan-Spicer Co., Inc. of $4,300.00 be accepted. Upon.motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the recommendation was approved and the bid awarded.
