REGULAR P1EE''IP1G <br />DECEMBER 27, 1976 <br />OFFER TO PURCHASE 711 LaPOIt�E AVEPNE <br />The Board had set an offering price of $995.00 on the city -owned <br />lot at 711 LaPorte Avenue and transmitted to -the prospective <br />purchaser, Richard Ludwick, a purchase agreement for the lot. <br />Mr. Ludwick responded to the Board by letter indicating that he <br />feels this valuation is too high and offered $600.00 for the lot. <br />On November 22, 1976, the Board directed that the Clerk advise <br />Mr.. Ludwick that the Board would accept a price of $850.00 for <br />the lot. Today the Board received a letter from Mr. Ludwick <br />again offering $600.00 for the City -owned lot at 711 LaPorte <br />Avenue. ?Zr. Farrand moved the Board accept the offer, subject <br />to the concurrence of the Common Council in accepting an ar'iount <br />lower than the offering price. PZr.11ullen seconded the motion <br />and it carried. The Board directed the Clerk to write Mr. Ludwick <br />and inform him the Board has accepted his offer of $600.00, <br />subject to Council concurrence. <br />BIDS ADVERTISED - IMPROVEMMT RESOLUTION 110. 3437, 1976, <br />CRES'LJOOD AND EDISDN INTERSECTION <br />Mr. Farrand informed the Board that the specifications are now <br />ready for the construction of signals at the Crestwood and Edison <br />intersection. Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. <br />Mullen and carried, the Board authorized the advertising of bids <br />for the construction of signals at the Crestwood and Edison <br />intersection, with bids to be received on January 10, 1977. <br />CLAIMS APPROVED <br />Walter F. Lantz, Chief Deputy City Controller, and Michael L. <br />Vance, City Auditor, submitted to the Board Claim Docket Numbers <br />13606 through.19352 and their recommendation that the claims be <br />approved. Upon notion riade by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Mullen <br />and carried, the claims were approved and checks for payrlent were <br />ordered issued. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon <br />notion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, <br />the meeting adjourned at 10:10 a.m. <br />In the absence of Patricia DeClercq, Clerk of'the Board of Public <br />Works, I, Maryrose Putz, assur_ie all responsibility for the Board <br />of Public Works meeting of December 27, 1976. <br />Rollin E .
