REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 6V 1976 DISCUSSION RE: PARKING ON SUPF.RGRAPHId-.AREA Ronald Bock, Director of River Bend Plaza, submitted to the Board a memorandum regarding congestion in the parking area on the Supergraphic area on the Plaza between Jefferson and Colfax and asking that any solutions to the problem be explored. Mr. Farrand noted that both the entrance at Jefferson and at Colfax are high pedestrian crossings and are signalized and said no consideration would be given to opening either area. Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Per. Mullen and carried, the memorandum was filed and referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for review and recommendation. BONDS APPROVED Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board that the bonds for George E. Ebright, Jr. and John Wright and Son had been submitted and were properly executed. Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the',bonds were approved. STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED The Street Light Outage report for the period of November 29 through December 3 was submitted to the Board. The report indicated 61 outages. Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the report was ordered filed. ADDENDUM TO TEAMSTER'S CONTRACT RECEIVED Paula Auburn, Personnel Director, submitted to the Board a letter listing additions to the Teamsters contract with the City, which resulted from an omission in the wage rates in the original agreement. The additions have been approved by Roland Wardlow for the Teamster's Union. Mr. Brunner recommended that the letter be referred to his office for review. Upon motion made by Mr. Brunner, seconded by Mr. Farrand and carried, the letter was filed and referred to the Legal Department for review and recommendation. TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES APPROVED Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, recommended to the Board the following installations: A. No Parking, South Side of 300 LaMonte Terrace, during the winter months. B. 30 Minute Parking Limit, 110-112 E. Dubail Mr. Farrand made a motion that the installations be approved. The motion was seconded by Mr. Brunner and was carried. ADOPTION OF VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3435, 1976 Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the following resolution was adopted: VACATION RESOLUTION 140. 3435 RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, That it is desirable to vacate the following: The north -south alley between Meade Street and Fremont Street from the south right-of-way line -of Lawton Street to the north right-of-way line of the east -west alley between Lawton Street and Orange Street, alley being between Lot 63 and Lot 64 in West End Subdivision.
