RM <br />REGULAR MEET114G <br />110VEIIBER 8, 1976 <br />TRAFFiC CONTROL DEVICES APPROVED <br />Ralph J. 17adzinski, lfanager" of_ the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />recommended the installation of th& following traffic control <br />devices: <br />A. Removal of 30 minute parking limit, south side of 1200 <br />Mishativaka Avenue. <br />B. Removal of two-hour limit at 1429 Mishawaka Avenue. <br />C. installation of 30 M.P.H. signs on Cleveland Road, from <br />Bendix to a point east of Kenmore Road. <br />D. Installation of -no parking signs on both sides of Cleveland, <br />frog-z Bendix to a point east of Kenmore. <br />E. Installation of 30 MPH signs on Kenmore from Cleveland to Boland. <br />F. installation of No Parking signs on both sides of Kenmore from <br />Cleveland to Boland <br />Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand,,seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the traffic control devices were approved. <br />MAINTENANCE B01M RELEASED - IIIGIILA14D ESTATES, SECTIO14 SiX <br />The Departnent of Engineering reported to the Board that an <br />inspection was made of Highland Estates, Section Six and the <br />maintenance bond for the project can now be released. Upon notion <br />made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the <br />maintenance bond was released. <br />SIGNING OF TITLE SHEET - ST. JOSEPH RIVED. WALL AND CA140E PORTAGE <br />The title sheet approving the plans for the St. Joseph River <br />Wall and Canoe Portage, Project R & S 39, fron Colfax Avenue <br />South was submitted to the Board. Upon notion made by Mr. <br />Farrand, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Board' signed <br />the title sheet approving the plans. <br />AGREEMENT WITH COLE AND ASSOCIATES, COLFAX BRIDGE RECONSTRUCTION -APPROVED <br />An agreement with Cole and Associates for engineering services for <br />the Colfax Bridge Reconstruction/Sitelmprovement Project was <br />submitted to the Board. The agreement is not to exceed $65,835.00. <br />Mr. Farrand noted that the grant application for the project is <br />being prepared and lie nade a notion that the Board approve the <br />agreement, subject to final release of the funds by the State Board <br />of Tax Commissioners. Mr.. Mullen seconded the notion and it carried. <br />AGREEPZENT ITITH LAWSON & ASSCIATES , ST . JOSEPH RIVER STALL REPAIR -APPROVED <br />An Agreement with Lawson and Associates for the engineering services <br />for the repair of the St. Joseph River Wall in connection with the <br />Colfax Bridge Reconstruction/Site improvement Project was subr_iitted <br />to the Board. The agreement is in the amount of $28,000. Upon motion <br />made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. lHullen and carried, the agreement <br />was approved subject to final release of the funds by the State Board <br />of Tax Corulissioners. <br />HOLiDA" PARADE APPROVED <br />The request for a Holiday Parade on November 20 in connection with <br />the Holiday Festival on River Bend Plaza was referred to the Bureau <br />of Traffic and Lighting for review. Ralph Wadzinski, Bureau Manager, <br />reported to the Board that he had reviewed the plans and had no <br />objection to the festival, with the stiuplation that, because there <br />is a Notre Dar.:ie home football garie that day, any request for traffic <br />control must be coordinated directly with Captain Sweitzer of the <br />Police Department Traffic Detail. Upon notion nade b-17 Mr. Farrand, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />
