Mr. Hill questioned
whether or not competition to existing downtown merchants and
duplication of existing services would be affected. He stated
that permission from the Board would also be needed since the
stand was proposed to be located on city property, in addition to
approval of the license itself, and he hesitated to give that
approval unless a favorable recommendation was received from the
Redevelopment Department. He felt that if _competition to existing
merchants was a problem, permission would not be given for the
stand on city property. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski,
seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the application was approved
subject to a favorable review by the Redevelopment Department,
Health Department, Building Department and Neighborhood Code
Enforcement Office.
FILE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS
A list containing 88 lots ordered cleaned by the Director of the
Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office
noted that property owners had been
lots and had failed to do so.
