Kernan ATTEST: s/ Barbara J. Byers, Clerk Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above resolution was adopted. AWARD BID —VEHICLES FOR NEIGHBORHOOD CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICE In a letter to the Board, Mr. Sean Watt, Director of the Division of Transportation, recommended the Board award the low alternate bid of Gates Chevrolet Corporation, said bids being received on June 28, 1982, for the.five 1982 Chevette Scooters at a cost of $5,620.99 each, with the city reserving the option to purchase a sixth vehicle at the same unit price if ordered prior to July 26, 1982. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the recommenda- tion was approved and the low bid of Gates Chevrolet awarded. APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS - CONSTRUCTION OF SALT STORAGE FACILITY AND REROOFING OF MUNICIPAL SERVICES FACILITY Mr.,Sean Watt, Director of the Division of Transportation, requested permission from the Board to advertise for the . receipt of bids for the construction of a salt storage facility with a storage capacity of 5,760 tons to be constructed at 701 West Sample Street, and for the construction of a new roof at the Municipal Services Facility. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the request was approved. APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS - SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES The Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office requested permission to advertise for the sale of approximately 27 abandoned vehicles which were being stored at the Hurwich Iron Impoundment Lot, 1610 Circle Avenue. Fifteen of the abandoned vehicles were valued at over $100.00, and the remaining twelve vehicles valued at under $100.00. It was noted that all vehicles had been stored more than the required 30 days, identification checks had been run for auto theft, and the owners and lien holders notified. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the request was approved, with the opening of sealed bids to take place on July 26, 1982.
