Byers, Clerk <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above resolution was adopted. <br />AWARD BID —VEHICLES FOR NEIGHBORHOOD CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICE <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Sean Watt, Director of the <br />Division of Transportation, recommended the Board award the <br />low alternate bid of Gates Chevrolet Corporation, said bids <br />being received on June 28, 1982, for the.five 1982 Chevette <br />Scooters at a cost of $5,620.99 each, with the city reserving <br />the option to purchase a sixth vehicle at the same unit price <br />if ordered prior to July 26, 1982. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the recommenda- <br />tion was approved and the low bid of Gates Chevrolet awarded. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS - CONSTRUCTION OF SALT <br />STORAGE FACILITY AND REROOFING OF MUNICIPAL SERVICES FACILITY <br />Mr.,Sean Watt, Director of the Division of Transportation, <br />requested permission from the Board to advertise for the . <br />receipt of bids for the construction of a salt storage facility <br />with a storage capacity of 5,760 tons to be constructed at 701 <br />West Sample Street, and for the construction of a new roof at <br />the Municipal Services Facility. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the request was <br />approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS - <br />SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES <br />The Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office requested permission <br />to advertise for the sale of approximately 27 abandoned vehicles <br />which were being stored at the Hurwich Iron Impoundment Lot, <br />1610 Circle Avenue. Fifteen of the abandoned vehicles were <br />valued at over $100.00, and the remaining twelve vehicles <br />valued at under $100.00. It was noted that all vehicles had <br />been stored more than the required 30 days, identification <br />checks had been run for auto theft, and the owners and lien <br />holders notified. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the request was approved, <br />with the opening of sealed bids to take place on July 26, 1982. <br />
