Ms. Dobski explained that, in the past, the sale of
T-shirts has been prohibited since the only shirts to be sold
commemorated the Ethnic. Festival. Mr. Kernan suggested that,
if approved, Ms. Dobski use her discretion on the logo to be
used on the T-shirts and also that the sale of the shirts
originate at one of the Polish food or craft booths already.
approved rather than setting up a special stand for sale of
the item.
Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and
carried, the special activities as outlined by Ms. Dobski
were approved, subject to the filing of the appropriate
insurance where applicable. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan,
seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above eight food booths
and six craft booths were also approved; the, food booths approved
subject to the required insurance. Ms. Dobski asked for guidance
from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and Police Traffic Division
for a recommendation on the location of the Fire Department Water
Ball contest.
APPROVE ACTIVITY ON RIVER BEND PLAZA -
GIRL SCOUTS OF SINGING SANDS
Ms. Dobski stated that the Girl Scouts of the Singing Sands had
requested permission to use River Bend Plaza on July 29, 1982
(with a rain date of July 30) for the purpose of conducting a
summer workshop and presentation in the area of Glowing, dancing
and mime.
