279 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 3, 1982 <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO SELL POPPIES ON PUBLIC SIDEWALKS <br />A request from the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 357 to <br />sell veteran -made poppies on the public sidewalks on May 21 and <br />22, 1982, was approved upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried. <br />APPROVE TEMPORARY NO PARKING - NORTH SIDE OF 100 E. WASHINGTON ST. <br />A request from Jeffrey C. Miller, First Source Bank, for temporary <br />no parking on the north side of the 100 block of East Washington <br />Street, in conjunction with the Grand Opening of the bank, was <br />recommended favorably by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, It <br />was recommended that no parking signs be set up along the front <br />of the bank between St. Joseph and Michigan'Streets from Sunday, <br />May 16, through Sunday, May 23, 1982. Upon a motion made by <br />Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the request <br />was approved. <br />APPROVE ALLEY CLOSING FOR MOTHER'S DAY CELEBRATION - <br />�- PULASKI PARK <br />A favorable recommendation was received from the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting for the closing of the north -south alley <br />running parallel to Pulaski Park and Walnut Street from Huron <br />towards Western Avenue as requested by the St. Stephen's Parish <br />Ushers Club for celebration of Mothers' Day on Sunday, May 9, <br />1982, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the request and <br />recommendation were approved. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the following traffic control devices were approved as <br />recommended by Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting: <br />INSTALL HANDICAPPED PARKING - 410 N. Notre Dame. <br />REMOVE HANDICAPPED PARKING - 733 E. Dubail. <br />INSTALL MIDBLOCK CROSSWALK - 400 N. Notre Dame. <br />REMOVE HANDICAPPED PARKING - 1812 S. Michigan. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION <br />Mr. Leszczynski noted that favorable recommendations had been <br />received from the Building Department, Fire Inspection Bureau <br />and Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, along with a favorable <br />report from the Police Department, for the issuance of a <br />Secondhand Dealer's license for Franklin T. Stone, 745 South <br />Walnut Street. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded <br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the license application was approved <br />and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance. <br />APPROVE TITLE SHEET - CROSSROADS INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX <br />A title sheet for construction of streets in the Crossroads <br />Industrial Park by a private developer was submitted for Board <br />approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Mr. Hill and carried, the title sheet was approved. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the following handicapped parking permits were approved <br />and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance: <br />Sandra Maichen, 52236 Shenandoah, S.B. <br />Linda Schlabach, 1007 Roosevelt, Apt.
