268 <br />REGULAR MEETING APRIL 19, 1982 <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and <br />carried, the following traffic control devices were approved as <br />submitted.by Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting: <br />INSTALL HANDICAPPED PARKING - 1215 Mishawaka Avenue. <br />REVISE TO 1) NO PARKING -BUS ZONE 8 AM - 4 PM 2) also, <br />NO PARKING 2 AM - 8 AM - North side of 300 W. Washington, <br />from St. James Ct., westerly for approximately 200 ft. <br />REMOVE 30 MINUTE PARKING 6 AM - 6 PM - E/S/O Fellows, 300 ft. <br />South of Bronson. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and <br />carried, the following handicapped parking permits were approved <br />and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance: <br />Anna M. Johnson, 16325 Fairfield, Granger <br />Dorothy L. Sausman, 19812 Southland, S.B. <br />Wesley Brashares, 1162 E. LaSalle, S.B. <br />Eula M. Canada, 124 Cherry, S.B. <br />Lisa B. Miller, 20 Kociosko St., Salem, Mass. <br />Charles M. Wiley, 3107 S. St. Joseph, S.B. <br />Marion K. Borysiak, 17585 Juday Lake Dr., S.B. <br />FILING OF MONTHLY HUMANE SOCIETY REPORT <br />The report indicated a total of 385 dogs handled, 112 cats and 41 <br />other animals handled in South Bend during the month of March, 1982. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and <br />carried, the report was filed. <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that a Certificate of Insurance for Memorial <br />Hospital of South Bend had been submitted, which certificate was a <br />renewal of a previous one which covered the erection of emergency <br />directional signage in the public right-of-way at the hospital <br />location, which signage was approved by the Board on May 18, 1981. <br />He explained that a condition of that approval was the filing of <br />up-to-date insurance liability coverage on the part of the Hospital <br />for the signage at Navarre and Michigan, Michigan and Bartlett and <br />the west side of the emergency room entrance. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the <br />certificate was filed. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS <br />A list containing 21 lots ordered cleaned by the Director of the <br />Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office was submitted. It was noted <br />that property owners had been advised to clean up the lots and <br />had failed to do so. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the environmental list was <br />filed. <br />FILING OF 'STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />The report indicated a total of 16 outages for the period of <br />April 8 through April 15, 1982. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the report was <br />filed. <br />0 <br />
